A b2c app that has 5M+ downloads and raised $4.75M funding signed up to superblog recently. 

I’m sure they are going to hit 25M downloads. Will share the name then. ;)

- Making YouTube videos targeting BOF keywords - using Screen Studio
- Moving my docs from a subdomain (help.yoursite.com) to a subfolder (yoursite.com/help) - Ferndesk makes this easy.

How I Grew My SaaS to $150K/Year With Reddit and SEO

As a Short Service Officer in the Indian Army (Artillery), I worked in both operational and counterinsurgency settings. I'm dedicated to helping veterans transition from the military to civilian life by facilitating the development of new skills, knowledge, and attitudes.

The Director General Resettlement (Armed Forces, Ministry of Defense) and NASSCOM teamed up with my former company, one of only a few to take part in this groundbreaking initiative. Both print and electronic media have widely praised our innovative approach to transition management and talent management.

I am an IIM Lucknow alumnus and have lectured at the institute, MDI Gurgaon, and numerous other business schools.

Retiring soldiers have long struggled to find a solid base for their second innings. " There are over 50,000 people who retire each year, and the majority of them are unable to find a new job, so their families are left to deal with the stress they leave behind them. There are many women who have no choice but to give up their lucrative careers while serving their husbands in the military. This issue requires immediate attention.

As a social entrepreneur, I'm trying to find out what isn't working and come up with a system to fix it rather than relying on the government or business sectors to take care of it.

My life and business have been devoted to changing the course of this industry, and I'm more concerned about the practical implementation of this vision than anything else.

It is because of my desire to act as an agent of social change for Services fraternity, and the social entrepreneur within me that I have been compelled to seize opportunities others have missed and enhance systems while devising new approaches and solutions to improve society.

The goal is to devise novel solutions to pressing issues and to put those solutions into action on a large scale.

Lakshveer Rao, my 8-year-old, wanted daily cartoon time on TV. I did not say yes or no. I asked him to earn it.

We agreed on a simple rule together. Physical fitness became time currency. For example, 10 pushups equal 1 minute of TV time, and 1 minute of plank equals 1 minute. Before 7 am, it has full value. After that, it drops to 50 percent. No reminders, no policing, no emotional bargaining. Just a clear system.

What followed was the interesting part. He built a small app using Anti-gravity to track his activity and earned time, and he did it in one hour. That was not asked for or suggested.

This is what empowerment looks like in practice. Giving kids agency, letting them design systems, and trusting them with ownership. When responsibility is real, behavior changes on its own.

Both of us are happy. Win win.

At the 3 day hardware hackathon by LionCircuits  and PCB CUPID, Team 17 looked unusual on paper. 

Lakshveer Rao is 8, grade-3 student. Joe Daniel is 19, a second year engineering student. Darshan Savaliya is 25, an engineer with work experience. They were not classmates, friends, or colleagues and barely knew each other before the event.

Over three intense days of building, debugging, failing, and retrying, real team bonding happened. So much so that someone asked if Joe and Darshan were Laksh’s elder brothers. The best part was that this unlikely team finished as one of the Top 5 finalists in the contest.

What stood out was how naturally it all came together. No one played the age card or leaned on seniority. Only the build mattered. Each brought something different to the table and respected the work.

A few lessons stayed with me. Good teams are built on intent, not age. Execution dissolves hierarchy. Shared struggle builds trust faster than familiarity.

Grateful to Lion Circuits and PCBCupid for creating spaces where such teams can form, build, and grow. Some of the best learning still happens around a workbench.

The youngest card game designer in the room. And possibly the only card game in the world that teaches electronics.

December 2024 at TTOX INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED changed everything for us.

We were invited by Phalgun, who heard about Lakshveer Rao through Harshal Modi after seeing a post on X about a 7 year old designing and publishing a real physical game.

Over two days, 50+ people walked up to Laksh’s table. They played Circuit Heroes, questioned the rules, tested the learning, and gave unfiltered feedback. Real playtesting. Real pressure.

Then came a moment we didn’t expect. Phalgun invited Laksh for a quick discussion on stage. Not as a novelty, but for the work.

That weekend was a turning point.

Since then, we’ve sold 500+ decks.

A new version is already on its way.

Lakshveer is 8 years old and spends most of his time building things — hardware projects, games, workshops, and products. Over the past year, he has shipped real products, earned real revenue, and learned by building, failing, and iterating.

As parents, we’ve mostly followed his lead and backed the work he chose to do. Our role was simply to create space, remove friction, and let him finish what he starts.

No pressure. No chasing outcomes.

Just learning by building.

VibeHack 2025 — built, learned, earned.

Last month, the 8 yo builder Lakshveer Rao participated in VibeHack 2025, a 48-hour in-person hackathon hosted by Entrepreneur First with Emergent Labs and OpenAI, held at Polaris School of Technology, Bengaluru.

Selected from hundreds of applications, he was shortlisted among 150 builders and made it to the final round. This was not a kids’ event or a demo day. It was a serious builder environment with real tools, time pressure, and expectations.

Clear takeaway:
When access and evaluation are merit-based, age fades away. Put curious kids in real arenas and they learn faster than any curriculum can teach.

Grateful to the teams at EF, Emergent, and OpenAI for running a builder-first hackathon and opening the door early.

It started with a simple question:
“How do I play a keyboard like a real one when I don’t have one?”

That question led to Lakshveer’s latest build—an Air Piano.
No physical keys. Just a webcam, computer vision, and sound mapping. Hand movements in the air are tracked, fingers become inputs, and music plays as if a real keyboard exists.

This is only a starting point.
There’s a lot of scope for improvement, and the possibilities are much bigger—better finger detection, velocity control, chords, two-hand coordination, even learning modes and composition tools.

What stands out isn’t the tech itself. It’s how the problem was framed.
Instead of asking for a keyboard, he asked how the experience of playing one could be recreated.

When kids are allowed to think this way, they don’t look for substitutes. They create new interfaces.

And that’s where real learning and real innovation begins.

An 8-year-old pitched at South Park Commons. Alone.
It began with an acceptance email from South Park Commons for Of Minus One and Moonshots.

Hundreds applied. Lakshveer Rao was approved to attend and shortlisted to pitch.
We travelled from Hyderabad to Bengaluru on the Vande Bharat.
Between stations, he fine-tuned his deck on Canva. No heavy rehearsals. Everything on the slides was work he was already doing, so the pitch was just clarity, not performance.

The organisers were understandably cautious.
They suggested that I co-present.
I politely declined.
This is his company. His vision. His idea.

My role is to stay in the backend and support, not share the stage.
I asked him once, “Do you want me up there with you?”
He said, “No, papa. I’ll take care of it. Including the slides.”
What followed wasn’t a “kid pitch.”
It was a builder explaining execution, answering questions, and being evaluated like everyone else in the room.

Lesson:
Children don’t need softer standards.
They need real rooms, real expectations, and real trust.
