I turned down $250K because of what Charlie Munger taught me.

The offer was simple: consult for a company selling overpriced courses to desperate entrepreneurs. Easy money. I needed it.

But I kept thinking about Munger's rule: "Don't sell anything you wouldn't buy yourself."

Would I buy their $5K course? No.

Would I recommend it to a friend? Hell no.

Behind every "I’m fine"
is a story most leaders never ask about.

Early in my own leadership journey,
I questioned whether empathy and high performance could truly coexist.

I worried that leaning too far into accommodation
might dilute accountability
or blur standards.

I was wrong.

Kindness doesn’t lower the bar.
It builds the trust that allows people to reach it.

Leadership behaviors always multiply.

Respect multiplies trust.
Belief multiplies confidence.

The opposite multiplies too.

Dismissiveness multiplies silence.
Blame multiplies fear.

Pressure accelerates all of it.

Anyone can lead when results are strong
and morale is high.

Real leadership is revealed
when things go wrong.

Tough moments test your character.
And people never forget how you showed up.

The most dangerous cultures still hit their targets.

None of this is cosmetic.
It’s deliberate.

Revenue follows culture.
Innovation follows safety.
Sustainable growth follows trust.

The question isn’t whether culture matters.

Sometimes silence is the sharpest reply.

5. Let it push you forward
Don’t argue. Don’t defend.
Win by living well.

Keep the challengers and cheerleaders.
Release the critics and clingers.

Your light isn’t for their comfort.
It’s for your purpose.

The louder the hate,
the clearer the proof:
you’re doing something worth noticing.

Most people treat success like a limited resource.
