I set up Account Management Skills in 2010 with the intention of helping account managers in creative agencies grow their confidence with clients.

The reason I did it was because during my 25 years of working in ad agencies managing client relationships I didn't receive any sales training until I reached General Manager level at a global healthcare communications agency. 

So as an agency leader I thought 'why doesn't anyone help agency account managers and directors gain more commercial understanding of the business and help them develop their sales skills so they can add more value to clients and grow their accounts'?

It started as a blog but it has morphed into a training company. It's different because; 

a) I offer a blended learning style training; live coaching calls with me as well as providing online training modules with learning outcomes and a playbook containing models, scripts and tools.  
b) All trainers who deliver training for me have experience working with agencies and understand the fast-paced world of creative agencies
c) I have experience working with performance marketing agencies, PR and digital agencies, healthcare communications agencies, app development agencies, design agencies, branding agencies, social media, copywriting/content marketing and experiential agencies.

I realised then what I should have known when I was an Account Executive, selling is proactively taking an interest in the client's business and looking for ways to help.

I now coach agency account managers, directors and CSDs through my Account Accelerator[TM] programme. 

It's a 12 month training and coaching programme designed to build an entrepreneurial mindset in account management - so they can help increase the lifetime value of existing clients, grow their accounts and generate testimonials and referrals - and you can maintain a healthy sales pipeline without feeling like you have to be so hands on with clients.

The proven programme has been running since 2016 and is aimed at those client-facing individuals responsible for account growth.
