What’s your goal for 2026?🎉

I’ve had the same LinkedIn goal for the last two years but still haven’t hit it and this year I’m determined to make it a reality. This year I want to hit 100k!

But there’s two things to keep in mind. 

1 - this isn’t my only goal for the year, and
2 - followers aren’t everything

There’s so much more that goes into building a successful personal brand, but I’m writing this to keep myself accountable this year.

By the end of 2025 I lost my passion for creating content but I’m finally finding my spark again, so it’s time to get back on it.

This might be the biggest lesson I learned in 2025... 👀

The power of using your own voice. 

In a day and age where AI is more prevalent than ever, there is one thing that can't be taken away from you, and that's your voice. Whether it's in an email, on a video call, presenting in a work meeting or creating content, who you are and how you speak is a core part of your voice. 

So here's how you can improve on shaping your voice and being heard in 2026
💡Practise writing every day, even if it's just a work email - curate and understand your tone of voice and how you speak
💡Put your hand up to present - at meetings, at conferences, on zoom calls
💡Start sharing content on social media
💡Network - in person, in DMs or in the comments section

LinkedIn in 2026 is not what it was in 2020...👀

And yes, that's probably the most obvious sentence you've ready. So here's what you're going to do about it. 

If you want to take LinkedIn seriously you need to: 
Freshen up your profile - remove old job titles, add descriptions to your roles, add an up to date cover image and profile image 
💡Leave meaningful comments on other's posts - regardless of their follower size, getting active on the comments is everything 
💡Review your content pillars - make sure they align with what you want to be known far 
💡Reconsider your audience - who are you actually helping, who is your ideal client (and no, it's not everyone) 
💡Post at least twice a week - if you want to be growing you have to invest the time and effort into being present 
💡Grow your network - respond to DMS, send intentional connection requests, meet people IRL or online. Converse with people! 
💡Pick a posting format & stick with it for a few months, this will help you learn if it's the right format for you and your audience. Whether it's video, text post or newsletters.

I don’t need more ideas in 2026. I need more follow-through. 🚀

As someone working a 9-5 and freelancing, I’m balancing a lot of plates. So this year one of my goals is to take my half-baked content ideas and business growth tactics and turn them into something tangible. I want to double my side hustle income.

But as a one woman show, I’ve been way too naive to think I can do it all alone. 

This is where I’ve been leveraging Notion Agent to hold me accountable and help me maintain momentum, and automate so many tasks I used to do manually.👀

Here’s how I’ve been using it👇

💡At the start of my day, I put all of my current to-do’s and action points into Notion Agent, this then gets turned into a clear do list, client action points and even prioritises my tasks. I’m a big procrastinator so this has been a huge help. 

💡After client meetings, I used to rewrite notes (time waster let’s be real). Instead, I’m using Notion Agent to tell me what my action items are and draft follow-up emails for clients. This has been a game changer as someone that is so easily distracted. 

💡And lastly when it comes to creating my LinkedIn and TikTok content, I used to just create based on my content pillars and what I felt like writing for that day. But now I’m not only using Notion Agent to proofread my drafts, but to help point ok recurring series ideas, and streamline my overall creative process. 

The biggest shift I’ve started to notice? I’m wasting less time faffing around, and getting back to my creative roots to work towards my dream career goals.

No “new year, new me.” Just improving and evolving. 💥

Margins on TikTok are getting scary 😅

& this is coming from someone who scales brands on TikTok for a living… there are so many hidden costs.

We’ve seen “TikTok brands” go under because of TikTok margins.

And on the other hand… we’ve also scaled some of the top beauty brands on the platform.

So let me be very honest.

TikTok is an incredible acquisition channel
(probably the best, if I’m honest).

It’s where you:

- Find customers.
- Create demand.
- Move fast.

But it’s also where:

- Commissions stack.
- Content never stops.
- Ads can get expensive.
- Trends expire quickly.

And if you’re not careful…

You scale revenue, absorb all the hidden costs, and kill profit.

Plus now with brands doing £1 drops… how do you even compete?

TikTok is a long game. It doesn’t take 3 months to become profitable.. 

But if you’re not there for the long-term goal, TikTok isn’t the way.

It takes time to really pick up.

One thing I’ll always scream is this: be mindful of each channel and know its true purpose.

TikTok for acquisition.
Margin success comes later.

Meta asked me last night if I wanted to go ad-free
(I’ve also seen £2.99, £3.99 and £4.99 floating around)

Feels very YouTube premium coded.

From an advertising perspective… it’s slightly unsettling 😅

We’re basically being asked to choose:

Pay with money or pay with data 

And it makes me wonder…

Are platforms slowly moving towards a subscription model? Will ads become the “free tier”? and will this change how brands think about paid social long term?

Hmm

Is this the future of social platforms?

Company culture isn’t ping-pong tables or slogans on a wall (soz) 😅

It’s how your team feels at 9am on a Monday.

In 2025, my biggest lesson building Twenty Fifth Media was this:

Culture is built in the small moments.
Boundaries are leadership.
If something can be resolved tomorrow, does it really need a reply today?

As silly as it sounds protecting focus protects people.
It’s trusting people to own their work.
It’s giving space to breathe.

It’s knowing when to step back.

And then there’s the culture you don’t plan...
The things that become… our culture.

The language. The rituals 😂

Calling the speaker our house speaker, just us knowing what it means… well now the world does 😂
Chatty for ChatGPT 🤍
“Ooooooo chile” when a task is finally done 🤣
 “Family road trip” when we all need something from the kitchen 😂

But honestly… this is what I’m most proud of.

Creating a safe place.
