Whether true or not, words shared the right way
can change someone’s mind.
That’s influence.

Think about a sentence that stayed with you
longer than it should have.

Maybe it was a teacher saying,
“You’re capable of more than this.”

Maybe it was a manager saying,
“I’m not sure you’re cut out for that.”

Neither required a long speech.
Both could shift how you saw yourself.

That’s the point.

We talk about influence like it’s strategy, branding,
or persuasion.
Most of the time, it’s simpler than that.

It’s how you describe someone to themselves.

You can define people by their current situation.
Or you can define them by what
they are building toward.

You can correct someone
in a way that protects their effort.

Or in a way that makes them shrink.

You're not unqualified.

We tell ourselves we're "not ready" or "not enough" before we've even tried.
