• Co-wrote application for Apache ASL Trails that was awarded maximum 2007 9% AZ tax credits - $900,000 for $14m deaf senior housing development in Tempe, AZ.  Oversaw financial structuring of project, including debt, equity for tax credit units, commerical/retail condo, and housing co-op units.
• Wrote LIHTC application for United House that was awarded 2007 9% WI tax credits for persons with chronic mental illness. Oversaw financial structuring of debt, equity and grant applications.
• Concept planning for co-op housing unit development on Apache ASL Trails campus; collaborate with Realife, a senior housing co-op developer located in Minneapolis. Conducted marketing surveys with deaf senior advocacy groups in Phoenix MSA. 
• Wrote winning 2008 Affordable Housing Program grant through Federal Home Loan Bank – San Francisco for $650,000 for Apache ASL Trails.
• Oversaw initial project development for deaf senior housing in Council Bluffs, IA. including 9% tax credit application, CDBG grant application through Council Bluffs, and Iowa West Foundation grant application for tribal gaming funds

My passion is both witnessing and assisting people who are walking through tough times, situations, emotions, and facing decision points using Positive Psychology coaching skills, chaplaincy, mindfulness practices and personal experience.  I've been there - I know the terrain from both personal experience and from being a chaplain with long-term, memory care and end of life residents at a care center.

I've also come out on the other side - not around, but right through the darkness of addiction, affected family member issues, divorce and loss of a child - and I know we humans have both the capacity and the courage to make this journey.  And sometimes we need support to do this. 

The strange thing is that there are gifts to be had on the other side of difficulty that come only from facing the issue squarely and being willing to encounter  the difficult emotions in the service of gaining the wisdom, compassion and forgiveness that live beyond the pain.

Mission: To draw from expertise in positive psychology and personal experience to provide compassionate guidance that empowers individuals to heal from grief, trauma, and addiction allowing the rediscovery of their authentic joy and serenity.

Vision:  I aim to create a safe space for individuals to confront their pain, learn healthy coping skills and reclaim their innate wholeness.
