One of my highlights of 2025 was spending a week in Sedona in early December.

I'd just wrapped a retreat with the Becoming the Bridge community (great humans!) and made a last min decision to extend my stay.

There’s something about the high desert, red rocks, and mountains that have been around for thousands of years that naturally invite moments of silence and stillness.

And yes — the energy vortex is real !

What was one of your highlights from 2025?

CEO at Frontier Growth Engine | Podcast host at Founder-Led 🎙️

One of my highlights from 2025 was attending a Dr. Joe Dispenza advanced retreat in Nashville. 

It was a fully immersive 7 day experience. 1,500 people. 14-hour days from 6am-8pm. Some days started at 4am. 

A few key takeaways that stayed with me:

1. Most people are living in the past:

Most people are living in a loop where today looks like yesterday. 

If we keep making a copy of a copy of a copy - like an old cassette tape - we’re becoming a cheaper, more diluted version of our true selves. 

To break the loop, we must become greater than the body, the mind, and the environment — all of which are largely conditioned by the past.

“Overcoming is the becoming process.”

The resistance we feel — to get out of bed, go to the gym, or have the hard conversations — is often the past being projected into the future.

The mind predicts an unpleasant experience so the body responds with resistance or avoidance. 

If we can overcome ourselves in those small moments, we step into possibility to a life that feels both more exciting and more peaceful. 

As I wrote in my journal: “If I can overcome myself in the morning, everyone else will be easy” HA!

2. Opening the heart:

The universe only gives us what we feel worthy of receiving. And worthiness comes from an open heart. 

Fear and frustration don’t open the heart. A constantly analytical mind doesn’t open the heart (learned that one the hard way 😄).

There’s nuance here — including practical ways I’ve found to cultivate an open heart — which probably deserves its own post.

The true masters (Jesus, Krishna, Buddha) knew the path: remove anything that stood in the way between them and an unconditionally open heart. 

3. Meditation as remembering:

The world is designed to help us forget our true selves:

• Societal conditioning
• The educational system
• The food we eat

The invisible scripts — when to buy a house, have children, what “success” is supposed to look like, etc, etc. the list is long !

The idea is not to fight against it. But to notice this old software program running and make intentional choices to update it. 

It starts with awareness. 

Meditation is the act of remembering. Of tuning out the noise so we can tune into the intelligence whispering within us.

From a neuroscience perspective, this often corresponds with shifting from high-beta analytical brainwave patterns into slower, more coherent alpha and theta states — states associated with calm focus, creativity, emotional regulation, and heart-brain coherence.

The result - the mind becomes an instrument of the heart:

• Decisions feel clean
• Work feels more easeful
• We feel more regulated, present and grounded

The ultimate goal: 

“Get so good doing it with your eyes closed, you can do it with your eyes open.” 

There were many more takeaways, including a breakthrough experience I had.

B2B lags B2C by ~10 years.

Had a great conversation with Will Leatherman and he said it perfectly:

"If B2C’s creator era kicked off in 2014… B2B is right on schedule"

And the playbook is already written:

2016 → B2C social goes mainstream
2019 → Personal brands disproportionately outperform corporate brands
2020s → Distribution > product

Now the same shift is hitting B2B.

Founders & CEOs are becoming the face of their products & services.

Those who start now will be 2–3 years ahead by the time everyone else catches on.

I thought I was decent at discovery calls.

Then I role-played with the author of Gap Selling.

He dismantled my process in 10 minutes.

3 takeaways that completely changed how I run discovery:

1. Product-centric vs. help-centric selling:

Most founders (myself included) jump to the pitch too quickly. 

“Aha — they mentioned a problem. Let me tell them about our solution.”

Keenan . calls this product-centric selling.

Help-centric selling is different.

It goes deep on:
→ What are you trying to do?
→ What’s preventing you from doing it today?
→ What is that costing you?
→ How long has this been going on?
→ Is it actually worth changing?

If you’re not uncovering those, and gettting them to emotionally feel and articulate the pain of their current state, the pitch — and the decision — won’t have real stakes. And will likely fall flat.

2. Get them to quantify the gap

Keenan’s rule: define everything.

“Onboarding takes too long.” How long?

“We’re losing revenue.” How much?

Most founders hear a problem and move on.

But vague problems don’t create urgency. Numbers do.

When they say “$700K is at risk”  it becomes real.

3. Not going deep on consequences

This one got me.

Keenan didn’t stop at the surface issue.

He kept asking: 
→ What happens if referrals dry up next quarter? 
→ What's it costing you to spend 20 hours a week on outbound that goes nowhere? 
→ If you're spending 5 calls just to build trust — is that the best use of your time?

By the end, "I should probably invest more in thought leadership" became a $500K pipeline gap.

He wasn't manufacturing fear. He was helping me connect what I already knew.

Selling isn't about pitching features — it's about the cost of inaction.

Founder-led sellers - Which is harder for you: finding the pain or getting the prospect to quantify it?

Agency > Intelligence.

Garry Tan (Y Combinator CEO) and Andrej Karpathy (former Tesla AI Director) are both saying it:

When AI puts world-class intelligence on tap for $20/month, the bottleneck is no longer knowing.

It's acting.

For founders building movements, this means:

Good product + great distribution > Excellent product + weak distribution.

Product still matters. But distribution is the multiplier. And there's a crowded graveyard of "technically superior" products that never found their market. 

George Mack has a framework for this - the "Jail Cell Test":

"You wake up in a 3rd world jail cell. You’re only allowed to call one person you know to get you out. Who do you call?"

You don't call the person with the the most intelligence or credentials. You call the person with agency.

The one who improvises. Who finds the gap in the fence. Who happens to life instead of waiting for life to happen to them.

I see brilliant founders failing this test every day.

They have the expertise. The track record. The intelligence.

But they're Person A in the image - stuck on the island, spelling "HELP" in the sand with sticks:

• Waiting for referrals
• Waiting to be "discovered"
• Waiting for some future moment before they share what they know

Person B used the same sticks to build a raft.

• Narrating the struggle while they build
• Recruiting before they have a finished product
• Treating distribution as a force multiplier, not a marketing chore

Same resources. Different agency. Different outcomes.

The gap in 2026 isn't knowledge. It's nerve.

High agency for your movement means turning your expertise into trusted distribution - not waiting for permission that isn't coming.

Start building the raft.

LinkedIn strategies usually fail because of one massive mistake: 

You treat LinkedIn like Instagram.

Plot twist, this isn't Instagram!

We see it all the time (people focused on beautiful carousels, motivational quotes, etc).

Yes, most of the time they get views. 

But no, it doesn't:

1. Increase revenue
2. Bring new customers
3. Build the business

This approach completely misses LinkedIn's core psychology.

LinkedIn users are looking for solutions, not just noisy inspiration. 

We are in work mode! 

Instead of asking "Will this get likes?" 
Ask "Will this solve a problem?"

Helpful content > entertaining content

And if you can combine the two, double win!

Here's the content that actually generates cash:

→ Targets the exact problem your audience faces
→ Breaks down frameworks they can use today
→ Tells real stories that mirror current challenges
→ Shares insights that make their work simpler

LinkedIn rewards problem-solving.

The one thing that I HAD to stop overthinking:

"How do I create content, and what do I create?"

1. There isn't a one-size-fits-all approach. 
2. "Viral" templates don't work that well. 
3. Relying on other people for advice isn't 100%.

So instead of trying to fit in. 

Instead of relying on others. 
Instead of depending on "viral" templates. 
Instead of hoping things "get better."

I began to rely on two simple things: 

Personal experiences and life. 

Your journey alone is worth sharing online. 

After 3 years on LinkedIn, over 3,500 posts, and traveling around the world to 43 countries:

Simply sharing my experiences, learnings, lessons, and journey has found me the most success.

There's a single choice that I make once a year for my solo business that no one talks about: 

Really quickly, let's look at the average person who works a 9-5 job in any industry. 

They move to their job. A city where their office is. Or where their employer wants them to work. 

That's the reality. 

Now look at someone like me. 

I run my own business. Everything is online. 

Yep, we can 100% do in-person events, pop-up conventions, community meet-ups, all of it. 

But the one decision I have to make every year is: where should I live next? 

I'm 24. 

Apartment living is my vibe right now. 

1. I lived in Houston, TX.
2. I completed college in Dallas, TX. 
3. I moved to Nashville, TN. 

And of course, I now make a new decision. It's not just about "where" you live as a business owner. 

It's more like:

• What are the people like?
• Which time zone will I be working in? 
• What's the vibe like for filming content? 
• Can I see myself running my business here? 

All questions that I answer every single year at this point by the time the new year comes around. 

So, to all my fellow entrepreneurs out there building their businesses, I know the feeling.

Here's my storytelling formula that actually gets people to read your LinkedIn posts👇🏻

Storytelling ≠ sharing random life updates.

If you want to actually get people to read your posts, this 3-part structure hooks your audience:

Part 1) Before 

Show who you were or what you struggled with.

Don't make this perfect. 
Don't sound too polished.

Nobody will relate to it. 

Don't try to sound like you have everything "figured out". I promise you that won't help. 

Part 2) Journey: 

This is the obstacle that changed everything. 

What moment changed your perspective?
What did you figure out that most haven't yet?

I do this in all of my content. 

It's a non-negotiable. 

Part 3) After

This is the result, lesson, and/or outcome. 

The goal here is pretty simple:

Get people to think:

"If they figured it out, maybe I can too."

Storytelling with zero structure is a no-go.

Random stories = no results. 
Transformation = the easiest way to sell. 

This isn't Instagram where posting about your morning coffee will go viral. 

I mean maybe if you're lucky...

Using storytelling to solve problems >>> 

Don't sleep on this formula.

Here are 5 unofficial LinkedIn rules that should be real LinkedIn rules 👇🏻

1. Stop relying on copying other people.

Copying people is no different than cheating on your tests back in school.

Stop copying people. You can't preach "build your personal brand" and then copy someone else's.

I see this too often now, so I'm posting about it.

2. Why are you still using hashtags?

Hashtags have already been debunked and don't do anything helpful for your content.

They honestly just look bad.

Have you ever searched for a topic using hashtags? Probably not. Don't use them.

3. Stop ignoring your audience...

This one is bad. And it happens way too often.

Your content is used to nurture. To build an audience. To build your personal brand.

When people comment on your posts, reply to them. Have a convo. Don't leave them hanging!

4. Enough with the AI comments.

Look, I'm all for a commenting strategy.

But 50-100 comments a day using AI is so bad. This is next-level destroying your trust.

Pretty soon, you'll see a major negative impact.

Don't do it.

5. Don't generate AI garbage for your audience.

Posting consistently on LinkedIn will be a massive part of your growth journey.

But posting just to post isn't worth it, especially if you're using AI to create slop.

Take 5 minutes to actually write from your brain.

Enough with the AI slop.

I've posted every day for the last 2.5 years I've been on LinkedIn. 

Here are my totally unfiliterd opinions for you:

1. Asking super generic questions at the end of your posts doesn't add value. Make it unique.

2. There isn't a single post "type" that outperforms. They all have their place (yes some do better than others for certain posts).

3. Commenting things like "I Agree!" or "Great Post" will do absolutely nothing for your business. 

4. If you're re-using the same format or quotes from other people almost daily, it's time to change ASAP. 

5. If you wouldn't say something out loud, don't post it on LinkedIn. Very simple. 

6. Don't listen to everything you see on this platform. There is a LOT of fake numbers or "wins" on here...

7. Stop starting every hook with: "This strategy got me $50K..." or "This made us $200K in 30 minutes..." I wonder if these lead magnets work that well...

I spend around 5-6 hours a day on LinkedIn. 

I've seen it all with my own eyes.

Here’s what I’d focus on if I wanted more engagement on LinkedIn next week:

Engagement is down across the platform.

We're all seeing the same thing. 

Here's what you're going to do about it:

1. Post wayyy more often. 

If you actually want to grow (like a lot), you'll post at least 4x / week minimum. 

Daily is best. 

We're all busy, I get it. 

So SCHEDULE your content. If you want to achieve your big goals, consistency is super crucial. 

I know you’re busy, that’s what scheduling is for. Big goals need big consistency.

2. Lead all posts with strong hooks

This is a non-negotiable. 

The first lines of your content matter more than the rest of the post. 

People will not stop to read your "5 best tips" if you don't give them a reason to stop scrolling. 

3. Re-use what is already working!

Go through your content from the past 30, 60, 90, and 365 days on LinkedIn. 

Re-purpose your best stuff. 

Turn videos into carousels. 
Turn carousels into images. 
Turn images into carousels. 

Double down on what works. 

This doesn't mean you're lazy; it just means that you're working smarter than everyone else. 

4. Comment before and after you post

If you post at 7:00 AM, comment 15-20x on other creators in your circle (20 min before/after).

The goal is to show up at EVERY angle you have available to you... Not only posting your own stuff.

5. Write for one specific person

Your posts should target a specific person. 

They should FEEL the relatability. 
They should UNDERSTAND the feeling. 

If there is no emotion in your content, it won't hit as hard, making it difficult to get your point across. 

I do this every day. Every week. 

Without hesitation. 

You can too. 

This is what I do every week. And it works, even when LinkedIn feels quieter than usual.

One thing that drives business success in 2026:

Speed.

When I first started posting content online in hopes of building a "profitable" business:

• I spent hours second-guessing myself. 
• Most of my time was rewriting rough drafts. 
• I'd legit delete posts before I published them.

The only way I've found success after years of failing with the wrong mindset:

Zero overthinking → going full speed into the biz.

1. 0 to 40,000 followers in under 2 years
2. Built a business that lets me work anywhere.
3. Transforming businesses/founders globally.
4. Meeting some of the coolest people online. 

And this has nothing to do with having a perfect strategy or being "ready," whatever that means. 

It's because I'm moving fast. 
It's because I'm not waiting for anyone. 

Results don't love perfect.
Results love speed.

My simple yet beautiful advice for you:

1/ Treating LinkedIn like Tinder
↳ “Hey 👋” isn’t an opener. It’s lazy. Lead with context (not just pure vibes).

2/ Copy-paste trash
↳ People can detect templates. If your DM could be sent to anyone, it belongs in the trash.

3/ Talking in riddles
↳ “Let’s explore potential synergies” = nonsense. Be concrete about what you do and why it matters.

4/ Value buried under fluff
↳ If your message takes 10 sentences to get to the point, nobody’s reading it.

5/ Ignoring their content
↳ If they post weekly and you’ve never commented, why would they trust you?

6/ Desperate urgency
↳ “I only have 3 spots left this week” screams scam. Real results don’t beg for time.

7/ Zero proof with massive claims
↳ “We 10x revenue for clients” doesn’t land without proof. Case studies > buzzwords.

8/ Acting like LinkedIn is email
↳ Volume tactics fail here. Focus on connection (not mass outreach).

DMs are NOT emails. 

Don't treat them the same.

Instead of relying on sending thousands of low-quality DMs each month to get results...

Focus on high-quality connections each week.

Zero point in being hated by 99% of the LinkedIn community because you like spamming people.

Here's the thing about LinkedIn:

• Creating content online can be difficult. 
• Coming up with ideas can be difficult. 
• Selling can be even more difficult.

1. Pick 3 core content pillars

(What they really want to achieve)

4. Turn each into a one-liner hook
(Think: “Why you're not getting leads faster”)

5. Choose 3 post types
(Story, Authority, How-to; rotate these)

6. Match hooks with post types
(E.g. Pain hook → Story post → Your solution)

7. Draft bullet-point outlines
(Skip perfection, just get ideas down fast)

8. Batch write in 45-min intervals 
(Use a timer, no edits, just write)

9. Use a repeatable CTA formula
(E.g., “DM/like or comment for the full strategy")

10. Schedule everything in advance
(Use a third-party tool or native LinkedIn)

This is the dumbed-down 10-step system I use to never run out of ideas on LinkedIn.

If your LinkedIn reach is completely down, I promise you this isn't random. 

A few things you need to know:

LinkedIn changed how content gets distributed.

A few weeks ago, a founder DM’d me panicking:

“Alex, my posts are getting half the views. Did I get shadowbanned? Did I do something wrong??”

So I did what most people would do: I dug into everything there is to know about LinkedIn. 

1. Recent platform updates
2. Pulled post-level data across accounts
3. Compared what worked pre-shift vs now

LinkedIn no longer rewards surface signals.

It's not just counting likes. 

It doesn't matter if you focus on vanity metrics (likes, comments, etc.). 

• Posting time no longer really matters
• Hashtags are completely irrelevant
• Your profile now affects post distribution

If your profile says "Branding Director" but you talk about travel, crypto, and whatever else...

The new LinkedIn AI will have zero clue how to distribute your content. 

LinkedIn can't classify what you do, who you help, or how you help people. 

No clear category = no clear audience = limited reach.

366 posts this year on LinkedIn. 

Consistency is a major factor in your success. 

But it wasn't always this way. 

I started my first business back when I was 13. 

My parents gave me money to register my LLC. 

And from that day forward, I've launched and built over 6 businesses (some fail, some win). 

My first successful business was in College, which I built during my lectures. 

I remember failing 3 exams throughout that year. 

Oops. 

Consistency was literally the only reason I was able to get where I am today. 

1-2 years of straight locked in on one thing. 

1. One idea. 
2. One business.
3. One product/service.

If it clicks, great, you have a good business.
If it doesn't, you learned and you move on. 

My advice to you: Stay consistent in anything you start to build. 

It'll pay off. 

For LinkedIn, do these 5 things:

1. Post 3-5-7 times a week (if you can)
2. Comment 10-25 times/day (get that reach)
3. Send 10-15 targeted connections / day
4. Have real conversations with people daily
5. Do this often. And keep doing it. 

Don't stop. 

If you're only going to do it for a few weeks, it's better to not do it at all. 

Long-term matters.

It's Jesus. 

I will go back a bit in time to tell you my story. 

I've been doing online work ever since I can remember. Back when I was 13 years old. 

Always focused on work.
Always focused on success.
Always focused on more.

When college came, I didn't make all the best choices. I wasn't living the best life I could be. 

And then I started speaking with Jesus. 

Our Lord and Savior. 

Instead of spending every single moment of my life trying to have more, make more, do more: 

I found the answer. 

My point here isn't to stop giving gifts, or having Christmas parties, or any of that. 

My point is to remember the reason for the season!

Jesus loves you and wants a relationship with you!

My one-man business did a little over $31,000 in revenue last month. Here's everything I've built:

We make improvements to the business each year. Otherwise, no changes = no growth. 

Here's a quick breakdown of what I'm selling, how I'm marketing, and the volume to scale:

• 3-7x Skool calls w/ community/week
• 1x long-form YouTube video/week
• 7x LinkedIn posts/week
• 4x Instagram reels/week
• 4x YouTube shorts/week
• 1x newsletter/week
• 4x TikToks/week

3. What I've built so far in numbers

• 150,000 followers on TikTok
• 70,000 followers on Twitch
• 40,000 followers on LinkedIn
• 5,000 followers on Instagram
• 1,000 followers on YouTube

4. The tools I'm using to make it happen

Loom for recording videos.
Restream for live streaming.
Typedream for landing pages.
beehiiv for newsletters.
Stripe for processing payments.
Supergrow for scheduling content.
Aimfox for LinkedIn outreach.
Calendly to schedule calls.

One thing we've found over the course of 2 years on LinkedIn: high-ticket is optimal.

Build trust and authority with your low-ticket products, and upsell to your high-ticket.

I've been building businesses since I was 13.

Sharing tips/frameworks on LinkedIn is destroying your strategy (I know, I've been there):

And I don't mean completely stop teaching or never share valuable info on the platform. 

(You should definitely keep helping people.)

My engagement tanked in the last 2-3 months. 

And here's why:

1. People don't buy the information you have. They buy the transformations that you provide.

2. Personal stories are by far the easiest way to connect with your audience. 

3. Your journey, what you do, and how you do it matter way more than your "knowledge."

4. Know the difference between educating people vs. driving emotion. Emotion sells. 

My goal is to never be the smartest in the room. 

I like to share the messy middle of my business.

• My horrible failures in the last few years. 
• The wins that I honestly didn't expect. 
• Aspects that have totally changed my business.

People will actually engage with this. 

I want you to see yourself in my story. 

Here's my advice for your content on LinkedIn:

1. Add one transformation/post. 
2. Show the wins AND the struggles
3. Include emotions in your decisions. 
4. Show people how it changed your life. 
5. Let people see the real YOU, not perfect you.
6. Introduce your before and after moments. 
7. Explain your learnings (not just what you know).

The goal is to build a following of people who actually trust you. Not just a follower count. 

When someone sees their OWN struggles in your posts, they believe you can help them transform.

I started on LinkedIn LONG before I thought I was "ready" to go all-in on the platform. 

100% I was not ready, and it was obvious. 

A majority of people we see here on LinkedIn consider "growth" optional. 

A personal brand is a nice-to-have. 
It's something that might promote business. 

And even more wait until the perfect time.

Over the last 900+ days here on LinkedIn, we've seen it all. Talk to people of all areas of growth. 

Excuses are the no.1 reason people don't start. 

There is always another reason to wait...

If I had the opportunity to start from SCRATCH, right now, here's what I'd do (and NOT wait): 

1. Start even if you're not ready

I know everyone says this, but very little actually executes on it. 

There are times when I launch things or post that video without thinking much. 

Sometimes it goes terribly bad. 
But other times it was the best thing I did. 

Sometimes, just having faith and going in works better than anything else you could have done.

2. Share the behind-the-scenes, not just wins

We all love reading wins on the timeline. 

But we also want to see the behind-the-scenes.

What's happening behind Alex's business? 
How is Alex creating his videos? 
How does Alex build out his systems? 

We want to see the PROCESS!

3. Invite your audience for actual conversations

Ask more questions!

Be relatable to your audience, to the people that actually support you, and to those that want your paid stuff!

4. Content is important, but it's not everything

Content (Video, Carousel, Visuals) 
Engagement (Comments/DMs).
Email Newsletters.
Normal Emails.

This list goes on. Don't settle for ONLY content. 

5. Don't rely on AI for your entire framework

Guys, AI is BORING, if you're poor with it. 

AI comments. 
AI content. 
AI this AI that. 

Use it for automations, time saving, you name it. But don't rely on it for the overly personalized things!

6. Test, launch, then check results. 

Sometimes, it's better to launch first and look at the results afterward (no need to overthink 24/7). 

Likes are cool. 

But business growth is way cooler! 

Change your mindset to where the growth is here on LinkedIn. it will make all the difference.

3.) Then it actually reads your content

Your main focus on LinkedIn in 2026 should be to grow your business (sell more). Here's how: 

I call this the Value Ladder. 

The goal of your organic content on LinkedIn is to attract attention. 

This strategy converts attention into revenue. 

Here's how I've structured mine for 2026 and how you can build your own:

1. Free Level 
↳ Content, lead magnets, free community
↳ $0 (builds trust and audience)

2. Entry Level
↳ Digital product, basic membership, mini-course
↳ $7-$27/month or $47-$197 one-time

3. Mid-Tier Level
↳ Premium membership, group program, course
↳ $47-$297/month or $497-$1,997 one-time

4. High-Ticket Level
↳ Coaching, consulting, DFY, mastermind
↳ $3,000-$50,000+

Each level should deliver a higher value than the previous one, with a price increase that reflects that value.

And remember, you don't HAVE to create every level for your business. 

Start with one, and scale as you go.

These last 6 months on LinkedIn have been some of my best months in the last 3 years. 

And it's all because I broke these rules: 

1. Post only as much as you can
↳ I stuck to 1x post/day no matter what

2. Use viral templates and scripts
↳ I write how I talk, not just templates

3. Comment for 3 hours every day
↳ I settle with around 25+ per day, no stress

4. Post at the same time every day
↳ The new algorithm doesn't care about this

5. Niche down and talk about one thing 
↳ I talk about a lot of different things that all end up circling back to the main niche/topic

6. Use case studies to convert your audience 
↳ I simply share real goals and ideas that have helped me grow my own business
 
If you ONLY stick to what people tell you to do, you won't get as far as you should be.

At the end of the day, focus on what works for you.

Share your stories. 
Share your behind-the-scenes. 
Share the raw, authentic, honest advice. 

Not the boring genericness. 

With the new AI algorithm:

If you're confusing, you will confuse the AI.

There are so many rules on LinkedIn. 

Go break the ones that make no sense!

Find what works for you and DOUBLE DOWN on those things. Don't wait for others to fix you.
