Here, I managed the litigation of insurance defense matters, representing carriers in claims stemming from motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, labor law violations, and construction accidents.  Member of the firm’s Insurance Defense and Commercial Litigation Departments. 

I appeared on behalf of clients at hearings, depositions, oral arguments, mediations, arbitrations, and at trial serving as First Chair.

I also wrote internal position and policy papers based on research into emerging legislation at the state and municipal levels.

New York City Council

In this role, I researched statues and case law to build internal memos and reports on City Council legislation, defending against challenges to City Council laws governing labor, healthcare, and small businesses.  

I advised Council members on litigation, legislation, internal investigations, and compliance.  Specific topics included legislative privilege, ethics, and conflicts of interest.

This role involved engagement with the New York City Conflicts of Interest Board on behalf of Council Members and staff.

I also drafted and filed motions at the state and federal level.
