The best thing about growing a global brand is the different experiences. 

Spent my Sunday morning climbing the highest temple in Bali. 

The priest tried to get me to marry her daughter 😆 

Prayed with my guide Dikang. 

Learned about the Buddhist religion. 

A lot of reflection on my 2 hour ride to the temple. 

A business is a vehicle to improve your life. 

Grateful to be able to build The Suit Group TSG Uniforms and TSG Exec Search around the world meeting all types of people who become clients.

“How do you have the time and energy to run different businesses”

A question I was asked by an investor. 

I don’t think I’m Superman. 

But I do so because I know myself and I’m not trying to please a single person other than myself. 

At 31, right now I have the energy to do it. This may fade as I grow older but 20s/30s the energy is there. 

I don’t have kids and honestly don’t want anything to do with kids anytime soon 😅 more energy to focus on business. 

I don’t watch TV, Netflix or play consoles - more time to focus on business. 

Except watching Arsenal 👀⚽️ (what do you think of Tottenham 😆)

I see my family whenever I can, it can be years sometimes but I’m ok with being the black sheep. 

You might be thinking “so what do you do other than work”

I write this post as I’m sat by a pool at the gym in the sun. 

I partner with and hire the right people who take on parts of the business that they are better than me at. 

90% of my work is done remotely. 

It allows me to do what I want when I want. 

And that’s work building businesses. 

So how do I have the time and energy to run different businesses? 

Cos I am living the dream.

When we lost £25k very publicly from a company not paying us, I had news reporters that wanted the story. 

Some of you may remember me offering the guy a fight in any boxing ring he chose and if he won, he got to keep the money. 

We got no response 😂 

But that was it done then. The energy I was putting into trying to get paid was being wasted and I realised that. 

So I put the energy into building our business. 

Lessons learned were more valuable than the £25k and we’ve made more than the loss. 

Not just that, I looked at how they were able to legally get away with not paying because they did. 

And guess what? 

That’s my fault. 

Me not having the correct contract in place that covered us. 

Publicly did I look silly? Maybe to some. 

But you cannot be in business if you care about what people think of you. 

And when we suffered a fire and lost absolutely everything, financially, suits, fabrics, equipment, all
Investor funds…

I promised everyone I’d build the business back up. 

I would never quit. 

And within a year opened 2 new locations. Bought out some investors. 

Now we are on the way to being the worlds best tailors with global locations. 

You don’t grow a global brand let alone any business without setbacks. 

But every setback is a lesson learned. 

You either take accountability and get on with it or spend your life beating yourself up wasting your energy. 

I’m grateful for the clients investors and supporters who’ve believed in me for many years. 

8 years in and it’s still as exciting as day 1.
