Interview Me Live

My first venture into entrepreneurship began in 2008 when I started Interview Me Live as a college project. 

Interview Me Live's aim was simple: conduct live online interviews between students and employers for post-graduate and internship positions via a social network.

Users uploaded pre-recorded interviews and video resumes onto our social network after creating their profile. 

Examples of students’ work outside of a paper resume provided employers a more well-formed perspective of what they could offer to an organization.

We co-hosted a career fair with The University of Texas and worked within the university this to classrooms. 
 
I learned a lot and enjoyed working with stakeholders and our team to bring an idea to launch.

• Co-hosted a University of Texas College of Business career fair
• Enrolled 29 employers, including 14 Fortune 500 companies, to career fair
• Managed remote team of 6 while living in Washington, DC during academic fellowship
• Led business development resulting in collaborations with the University of Texas to include Interview Me Live in college classrooms and at recruiting fairs for beta-testing, user acquisition, and customer validation
• Conceived and led development of platform to connect university students to employers for live, online interviews for internship and post-graduate positions leveraging use of video resumes and pre-recorded interviews

All three products had historically been business to business products.  Hired to take these products to the retail market via carrier and large association agreements, online advertising (SEO), and other retail marketing outlets (e.g. social media, print media).  Sales for insurance CE courses increased by 64% YTD, 114% last three months rolling.

A software and services company serving the property and casualty, life and annuity, flood and workers compensation markets; Executive leadership of highly strategic organization projects.  Examples include the migration of StoneRiver from a Fiserv division to a standalone company (re-branding, large scale technology migrations, new policies and vendor agreements), risk management/business continuity planning.
Created and led the offshore program management office for one of four groups within the corporation.  Work through the PMO included creation of formal offshore vendor management policies and procedures, creation of financial models to objectively identify offshore opportunities and creation of communication tools for both internal (employees) and external (client) distribution.  Facilitated utilization of offshore resources for technology and business process functions.  Responsibilities included relationship management between business units and offshore vendor, resource management and financial management of offshore engagements.
