The most profitable thing you can do in January: 


Build spaciousness. 

Not another launch.

Everyone's planning their Q1 launch.

→ New offer. 
→ New funnel. 
→ New revenue push.

But here's what I encourage you to do instead:

Building spaciousness.

Not because you should be slowing down. 

Because spaciousness is how you scale.

Here's what I mean:

→ Spaciousness in your calendar = capacity for strategic thinking 

→ Spaciousness in your offers = capacity for excellence 

→ Spaciousness in your boundaries = capacity for sustainability 

→ Spaciousness in your team = capacity for growth

You can't build a 7-figure business from a place of constant reaction.

You need space to: 

→ Think strategically, not just tactically 
→ Make proactive decisions, not desperate ones 
→ See opportunities you'd otherwise miss 
→ Build infrastructure before you need it

So this January, you should not be asking: 

"What can I launch?"

I'm asking: 

→ What can I simplify? 
→ What can I eliminate? 
→ What can I systematize? 
→ What capacity do I need to build?

And then I'm building that.

Because the entrepreneurs who scale sustainably aren't the ones doing more.

They're the ones who built space to think, strategize, and lead.

If you start January in chaos, you'll end December in burnout.

Start with spaciousness.

Why your 2026 plan should start with subtraction. 


The most profitable business move is often saying no.

Everyone starts January with addition:

→ New offers. 
→ New revenue streams. 
→ New marketing strategies.
→ New, new, new.

But here's what 7-figure entrepreneurs actually do:

We subtract first.

Because complexity is expensive.

Here's what I'm eliminating before I plan anything new:

→ Offers that convert but drain me: 
Just because it makes money doesn't mean it's worth my capacity 

→ Client types that require excessive energy: 
High-maintenance clients cost more than their contract value 

→ Partnerships that look good but feel misaligned: 
If I'm dreading the meeting, it's not the right fit 

→ Content platforms that don't serve my goals: 
I don't need to be everywhere, I need to be strategic 

→ Commitments I made from obligation, not alignment: 
"Yes" to everything is "no" to focus

Here's the framework:

1.) Audit everything you did in 2025 

List every offer, client type, partnership, commitment, content channel

2.) Ask: Does this energize me or drain me? 

Be honest. Revenue doesn't matter if it's costing you your sanity.

3.) Rate each on ROI of time, energy, and money 

What's actually profitable when you factor in your capacity cost?

4.) Eliminate or redesign anything below a 7/10 

If it's not a clear "yes," it's a "no."

5.) Only then do you add something new 

From a place of spaciousness, not desperation.

Most entrepreneurs are one "no" away from their breakthrough.

Not one more strategy. 

One less distraction.

Subtraction is the most underrated growth strategy.

My January CEO checklist: 

7 things to do before you set a single goal.

Before I set a single goal, I complete this 7-step checklist:

1. Review what actually happened in 2025 → What worked? What flopped? Where did you waste time, energy, or money?

2. Audit your current capacity → What's your energy level? Your realistic work capacity per week? Be honest.

3. Identify what drained you → List client types, offers, partnerships that exhausted you. Kill it, redesign it, or delegate it.

4. Clarify what you actually want → How do you want to spend your days? What revenue supports your life goals?

5. Assess your infrastructure → What systems are broken? Where are you the bottleneck? What team support do you need?

6. Set your non-negotiables → What are you NOT willing to sacrifice? Health boundaries, family time, rest. Write these first.

7. Define your strategic focus → If you could only focus on 3 things this year, what would they be? Everything else is a distraction.

Only after completing this checklist do I set goals.

This process takes 3-4 hours. 

It will save you 6 months of wasted effort.

She didn't want more revenue. 

She wanted more:

Freedom.

It was a January strategy call.

A client of mine came with ambitious goals: 

→ Scale to $3M (up from $1M) 
→ Launch two new offers 
→ Build a team of 3

So I asked her: "What do you actually want your life to look like?"

She paused.

"I want to pick my daughter up from school three days a week." 

"I want to have dinner with my husband without checking Slack." 

"I want to take a real vacation without opening my laptop once."

I ask:

"Will these goals give you that?"

"No. They'll probably make it worse."

We threw out the revenue goal and built a plan around the life she actually wanted.

The result? 

She hit $1.4M instead of $3M.

But she picked up her daughter 3x/week. 
Had dinner with her husband, phone off. 
Took two weeks fully offline.

She told me: "This is the first year I didn't hit my revenue goal and feel like I won anyway."

Revenue is a tool. 
Not the destination.

This January, before you set a single goal, ask: "What do I actually want my life to feel like?"

Then build your business plan around that answer.

How to conduct a business model audit in 90 minutes:

Steal my framework!

MINUTE 0-20: Revenue Reality Check

→ What was your total revenue and profit margin? 
→ What were your top 3 revenue sources? 
→ Which offers were most profitable?

Rate each revenue source 1-10 on profitability, sustainability, and alignment. 

Anything below 7? Flag for elimination.

MINUTE 20-40: Time & Capacity Analysis

→ How many hours per week did you actually work? 
→ Where were you the bottleneck?

Calculate: Annual profit ÷ Annual hours = Your real hourly rate.

If that number disappoints you, your business model needs work.

MINUTE 40-60: Client Assessment

→ Who were your best clients vs. worst clients? 
→ What percentage of time went to each?

If you're spending 60% of time on clients who represent 20% of revenue, you have a client problem.

MINUTE 60-75: Infrastructure Evaluation

Rate 1-10: Systems, team, sales consistency, delivery experience, operations. 

Anything below 7 is a bottleneck.

MINUTE 75-90: Strategic Decisions

→ What needs to be eliminated? 
→ What needs to be redesigned? 
→ What needs to be systematized?

Write your top 3 priorities. 

Everything else waits.

90 minutes. Once a year. 

That's all it takes to get clarity.

I would’ve laughed.

At the time, I was a chiropractor working long hours, wondering how the hell I was going to build the life I dreamed about.

I had no audience.
No online experience.
No idea where to start.

But I had a deep knowing:
There’s more for me than this.

Looking back, here’s what I wish I could tell her:

→ You don’t have to have it all figured out.
→ The fear you feel is normal, it means you care.
→ Consistency will take you further than confidence ever could.
→ Stop waiting for permission. You’re allowed to want more.

And most of all:

You’re not behind.
You’re just building.

So to anyone out there feeling stuck in a life that looks “fine” on paper but doesn’t feel like you?

You’re not crazy.
You’re ready.

Stop building new. 

Start optimizing what exists.

The most expensive mistake I see CEOs make:

Chasing the next revenue stream before optimizing the current one.

You have a course that converts at 2%? 

Don't build a mastermind. 

Fix the course conversion.

You have a service that's profitable but exhausting? 

Don't add another offer. 

Systematize the service delivery.

You have a signature program that fills inconsistently? 

Don't create a low-ticket funnel. 

Fix your enrollment process.

Here's my framework for knowing when to optimize vs. build new:

Optimize when: 

→ Current offer converts below 5% 
→ Delivery feels chaotic or unsustainable 
→ You're not at capacity with current model 
→ Revenue is inconsistent month to month

Build new when: 

→ Current offer is optimized and consistently full 
→ Clear market demand for logical next step 
→ You have capacity (team, systems, energy) to support it 
→ It simplifies your business model, not complicates it

Most of you are at least 12 months away from needing something new.

You just need to make what you have excellent.

Here’s the moment I knew I was done playing small.

I was sitting across from a man who ran a 9-figure business.

He asked what I did.

I gave the most vague, watered-down answer possible.
Didn’t want to sound “too confident.”

He smiled and said:

“Oh. So you run a media company that educates and funds the next generation of women entrepreneurs?”

That hit me like a brick.

Because he could see it.
I was the one playing small.

From that day on, I stopped diluting my story.
I stopped making my wins smaller so others could feel more comfortable.

I started owning the full weight of my mission.

And guess what happened?

Everything grew.

Because no one will believe in your vision until you do.

New year anxiety for high-achievers is real. 

And it's not what you think.

Everyone else is excited about fresh starts and new goals.

But if you're already "successful"?

January can feel heavy.

Because you're not starting from zero. 

You're starting from expectations.

→ Last year's revenue becomes this year's baseline 
→ Your team expects you to have the vision mapped out 
→ Your clients expect consistency while you're planning change 
→ You expect yourself to top what you just accomplished

The pressure isn't to "finally make it." 

It's to keep making it.

Bigger, better, faster.

And if you're honest?

Sometimes you just want to pause.

Here's what I've learned after multiple 7-figure years:

New year anxiety isn't about lacking ambition.

It's about lacking permission to build sustainably.

You don't need a bigger goal. 

You need a more spacious plan.

This January, instead of asking "How much more can I achieve?"
Ask: 

→ What worked last year that I want to keep? 
→ What drained me that I need to eliminate? 
→ What capacity do I actually have for growth? 
→ What would make this year feel sustainable, not just successful?

High performance doesn't require high pressure.

It requires high clarity.

Your business should fund your life, not consume it. 

Somewhere along the way, we started believing:

Success requires sacrifice.

→ Sacrifice your health 
→ Sacrifice your relationships 
→ Sacrifice your rest “
→ Sacrifice your presence

And for what?

A business that makes money but costs you everything else?

I'm calling this out:

That's not the goal.

The goal is a business that: 

→ Generates wealth without requiring you to sacrifice your wellbeing 
→ Grows in alignment with your capacity, not despite it 
→ Supports the life you want to live, not replaces it 
→ Gives you options, not obligations

You're allowed to want financial success AND a peaceful life.

You're allowed to want ambitious growth AND present motherhood.

You're allowed to want 7-figure revenue AND boundaries that protect your energy.

These aren't contradictions. 

They're requirements for sustainable success.

And anyone who tells you otherwise is either: 

→ Selling you hustle 
→ Or hasn't built what you're building

I've done both.

I've built the chaotic 7-figure business that consumed my life. 

And I've rebuilt it into one that funds my life without demanding it.

The second version is better. 

In every way.

So if you're reading this and you've been feeling guilty about wanting both:

Stop.

You're not asking for too much. 

You're just asking for what's actually sustainable.
