After spending 7 years in IAM this vector isn't really new, albeit it's morphed slightly to Agent based or non human identities.

Some of the areas were we are addressing this risk (not a silver bullet) however it does buy down some of the risk. 

Model Armor's Role: Unlike EDR, which looks at what a process is doing, Model Armor looks at why. It screens the intent of AI prompts and responses. If an attacker hides a command in a forwarded email to exfiltrate data, Model Armor's Prompt Injection and Jailbreak Detection identifies the manipulative instruction before the agent executes it.

Chrome Enterprise Role: CEP provides visibility into the "Shadow AI" environment. It can identify unauthorized OpenClaw instances by monitoring WebSocket traffic on port 18789 and blocking access to unsanctioned agentic hubs.

Telemetry from Chrome is then fed into SIEM, SOAR - SOC for broader threat hunting.

According to Jensen Huang at GTC, OpenClaw / NemoClaw like systems will be the operating system of the future. 

According to Palo Alto, it can bypass legacy EDR, DLP, and SASE protections with a single prompt injection attack.

According to OpenAI, guarding against all prompt injection attacks with guardrails is fundamentally impossible.

So who is right? 

ALL OF THEM. 

The problem isn't AI agents being impossible to use securely. It's how companies think about securing them. If you think you can secure and govern an AI agent like other pieces of software or technology, you're cooked. 

In the cyber space, we have dealt with this kind of non-deterministic problem for a very long time.
