I am the founder of Peninsula Strategies, a consulting firm that has worked with some of the most well-regarded brands in the world, such as Netflix, Microsoft, and the Wall Street Journal, as well as with visionary start-up entrepreneurs and mission-driven nonprofits and associations.

I am also an advisor, a speaker, an educator, and an author. I serve on the advisory board of Strava, a social network for athletes, and I share my insights and expertise on subscription and membership models through keynote speeches, podcasts, and LinkedIn Learning courses. I have written two books, The Membership Economy and The Forever Transaction, that anticipated and defined the massive transformation from ownership to membership and the rise of subscription pricing. His Harvard Business Review article “Making Yourself Indispensable” has been called a “classic in the making.” Scott’s work has been published in the HBR Guide to Your Professional Growth and HBR Guide to Being More Productive.

Scott has served as an affiliate faculty member for the University of North Carolina, Kenan-Flagler School of Business. He received a B.S. in Communication Studies and Rhetoric from Florida State University, where he sat on alumni committees including the Board of the College of Communication and Information, as well as the Seminole Torchbearers. 

An extensive traveler and avid football fan, Scott prioritizes experiences above all. He has bungee-jumped into a New Zealand canyon, supported his Seminoles at six national championship games, and performed with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir (despite not sharing their religious affiliation or ability to read music). He and his family live in Tampa, Florida.

Edinger , author of book 📚 The Growth Leader, delivered a powerful keynote today at my work First Horizon Bank on what it takes to win in the execution phase -Flag 5 and it was a timely reminder to stay relentless about turning strategy into results. His speech reminded execution isn’t just about speed, it’s about converting strategy into measurable outcomes with discipline and consistency to keep raising the bar. 

What I appreciated most was how practical he made it. He also shared how to measure success, what leading indicators to watch, and the prompts leaders should ask as progress is being made (so teams don’t confuse activity with outcomes).

I was fortunate to be seated right next to him, which gave me a front-row opportunity to learn. He thoughtfully answered questions from the broader group, and afterward I had the chance for a brief 1:1 Q&A. He responded with clarity and patience on how to think when I asked a question on PowerPlay -Flag 2.  We also captured the moment with a photo 🤳.

Personally, I walked away with clarity, motivation and more intentional on questions I ask, the metrics I track, and how I translate strategy into consistent outcomes.
