7 ways to know you have a messaging problem in your coaching business....

When your messaging is off, everything else in your business is more difficult. That's why dialling in a Magnetic Message is where I start with (almost) every client.

And after working with 430+ people from 17 different countries, I've seen the patterns.

So here's 7 signs that your messaging needs some love...

1. YOU FEEL AWKWARD ANSWERING THE “WHAT DO YOU DO” QUESTION.
You dread the question or find yourself feeling embarrassed after trying to answer it.

2. IT'S HARD TO EXPLAIN YOUR VALUE WITHOUT A LONG BACKSTORY.
You need 10 minutes to explain what you do + why it matters. 

3. PEOPLE STRUGGLE TO KNOW IF YOU'RE THE COACH FOR THEM.
When folks land on your profile or website they can't quickly identify if you're the coach "for them" or not. That's because your language is too broad ("I help humans transform their life"), because you're showing zero personality, or because you're using too much coachy coach jargon that doesn't mean anything to the average person.

4. YOU'RE ATTRACTING THE WRONG CLIENTS.
The people who reach out either don't align with your values, drain your energy, aren't ready to buy, or are in total crisis mode.

5. YOU'RE NOT PROUD OF YOUR CONTENT, PROFILE, OR WEBSITE. 
The words don't sound like you. Maybe you borrowed language from other coaches, filtering what you say, or hiding who you really are. 

6. YOUR CONTENT GETS ENGAGEMENT BUT YOU DON'T GET INQUIRES.
Claps ain't cash. So even though you're getting likes + comments, you're not getting clients. This means what you're sharing is interesting, but it's missing what makes people take action.

7. WHEN YOU DO GET ON CALLS WITH PEOPLE, YOU HAVE TO DO A LOT OF EXPLAINING.
You have to spend a lot of your time on calls explaining, teaching, and maybe even convincing people (instead of the calls being about strategy + if you two are a fit).

I was bricking it...


...years ago when I pivoted from being a content writer following my soul's calling and becoming a Spiritual Coach, THE Magic coach. 

I thought I would be ridiculed on this platform, where at the time, there was virtually no one else talking about alternative spirituality, about the law of attraction, about guides and visualisation and I;m beyond glad that's no longer the case. 

I thought I'd get trolled or booted off the platform and I was sure (because there was so much of it about back then) that I'd be told 'this isn't Facebook' every time I posted. 

But that wasn't my experience at all. 
I've been met with kindness, interest, and support. 
I've met ALL my clients via this platform. 
I've met amazing friends, mentors and teachers. 

And now I've got 8000 followers!
I'm so grateful to every single one of you. 
I'm so grateful for this platform, yes I know it has a bias problem and other issues too. 
But it's given me my dream life and I'm SO grateful for that. 

So, to anyone out there who is worried that their niche isn't suited to Linkydinks. 
To anyone who is too worried to post.

Feeling a bit scattered or disconnnected?


Maybe your feeling more tired at the moment, but combined with an inability to sleep soundly. 

Perhaps you are feeling easily distracted and starting a lot of tasks but finishing few. 

You might need a bit of grounding. 

At the days get colder and the nights draw in, we tend to spend less time barefoot, spend less time out in nature; feeling the grass, the trees, the earth, the ocean or even the wind in our faces. 

Here's a few tips to help to get grounded over the winter months. 

1) You can still go barefoot - just take a tiny towel to dry your feet before you  pop your cosy socks and boots back on. If it's frosty you can even think of it as a mini ice bath, it will boost your circulation as well as provide the grounding your mind and body is calling for. 

2) Lean your back against a big old tree trunk - make sure the back of your head makes contact with the bark for a more grounding experience. Feel into that solid, slow and safe energy of the tree. 

3) Let the rain or snow fall on your face. Feel that sacred connection to the natural world, allow it to refresh you mind, body and soul. 

3) Focus on your Earth Star chakra this is a the energetic grounding chakra - your super root chakra. Providing grounding for your whole body based on an 8 or 12 chakra system. It is around 6-10 inches below the soles of your  feet. You might visualise it as a deep brown (I see it like cola) or a shiny blackish grey or even a deep plum or maroon. Visualise it as a ball of light energy and practice expanding and contracting it with your breath. 

4) Visualise tree roots coming out of the soles of your feet, hear the sound as they crunch through the floor seeking out the rich earth below. See them grow from the thin, seeking tendrils into the thick juicy tubers as they spread outwards and deeper down into the earth. Feel the way they anchor you, how they make you remember that you are of the earth, not separate but a part of the 'one' big ecosystem. The beautiful roots in this picture are at the wonderful Avebury Stone Circle in South West England one of my favourite magical sites.

She’s actually really enjoying it and it’s fun for me taking a wander down memory lane. 

Anyone else old enough to remember this game? 

It’s California Games I had it on my old Sega Master System II and loved it along with Alex Kidd in Miracle World can’t remember any other games we had although I think there was a football (soccer) one. 

That was the 2nd console I had, the first was a Commodore 64 but I remember we borrowed my brothers mates Atari for a while too.

I've worked with over 100 people since I began my coaching business and almost every one of them shared a belief about sales and selling. 

Selling is icky. 
Sales = Being pushy. 

But you know what...
What you do is important. 
Forget for a moment what that pesky subconscious/ego/monkey mind tells you.  

Your highest self knows that what you do works, that its important, that you are good, dare I say, brilliant at what you do. 

You wouldn't be doing it otherwise. 
You are an expert. 

So it stands to reason that you KNOW that your clients benefit from what you do. 
You know the difference you make in their lives. 

AND you know what...

Selling is how you reach them. 
Selling is how you give them that benefit. 
You owe them that. 
Time to stop thinking about yourself, time to stop being concerned with what your ego/monkey mind/subconscious is telling you - and think about how your clients deserve the help you can give them. 

Get yourself into the frame of mind where you understand that it’s not about you. 
It’s not about how you come across, it doesn’t matter if your ego is yelling at you that you are being pushy or that selling is icky, because it’s not about you - its about the people who will benefit from what you do. 

Selling is the wonderful, beautiful means for you to let them know about what you do, about how it can help them, about how it can change their lives, like those people you have helped before. 

Now I want to ask you a question. 

Have you ever gushed to a friend or even to a complete stranger about a book, a song, a movie or a product that you love?
Said to someone 'You’ll love this, this is perfect for you'
'Haven't you read x yet, it's amazing'
'Try x, it's the best' 

Now ask yourself...

Why didn’t that feel icky?
Why didn’t that feel pushy?

There's only one answer. 

It's because it wasn’t yours. 
So your subconscious, your monkey mind didn’t step in and silence you. 

But remember your highest self KNOWS that what you do is powerful 
What you do works. 

When you walk past a shop and it has the AUDACITY to put what it sells in the window, so that you know what it is selling - do you think -woah there - stop being so pushy. 
No, of course you don’t, because if the shop windows were all blank it would take forever to get what you need, it would be a nightmare. 

So by selling. 
By advertising what you do and what you have to give you are actually helping people out. 
If you don’t need what that shop sells - you just don't go in right?
You’re not forcing anyone to buy - you’re simply letting them know you and your business are an option.
You are giving them the opportunity to say yes to you. 

And if you love your clients and you love your business you have to give people the opportunity to say yes to what you offer.

It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas in our little household. 

🎄 We've got our tree, its colourful and a bit messy just like me! 
🧩 Christmas jigsaw puzzle has been started. 
🗓️ Advent calendar is revealing secrets every morning (we hunt high and low every year for one that is pictures rather than chocolate or gifts)
🏰 We've visited a couple of National Trust properties (for those not in the the UK these are usually big old manor houses, castles and gardens that often go all out with themes and decorations for the Christmas period) 
🎶 Xmas playlists are on and I've already heard Last Christmas about 14 times. 
🧘‍♂️ A lot of my meditations and inner journeys are focusing on looking back over the last year, both celebrating wins and making peace with lessons and I'm looking forward to 2026 and calling in an abundance of health, wealth, peace and joy.

Gratitude is just about the most powerful way to raise your vibration, to attraction more good things into our lives and to spread and little joy and happiness.

When I first met Becky she was at a crossroads. 

She was struggling to get clients, she was scared she’d have to go back to corporate despite forking out over 10k on coaching. 

The few clients she had got were not from the program she’d spent most of her savings on. But because she’d spent all that money she was loathe to step away from the processes that weren’t working. 

She was disappointed. 
But she was also blaming herself, feeling shame for believing in someone who turned out to not be the right fit for her and guilt for not being able to make it work. 

She’s amazing coach and she really wanted to make a difference in people’s lives. 
But was worried that working with me; another coach,  would be just throwing good money after bad. 

Now, she’s aligned every aspect of her business with her true self. 

I helped her tap into her own style rather than following the cookie-cutter templates that she was told were the way to make sales and she’s selling her high-ticket groups and 1-1s  and it feels easy. 

Her other coach was great. The templates and processes were brilliant - they were an expert after all. 
However, they just weren’t aligned with who Becky is and left her feeling that she didn’t even really know who she was anymore. 

Her true self got lost in it all so she was coming off as inauthentic. 
That is not attractive energy. 
. 
She was worried her business was doomed to fail. 
And he couldn't continue ploughing her time and money into something that was failing. 

Fast forward and she’s excited for Christmas, has peace of mind about what her kids put on their lists to santa and is relaxed about taking time off because she’s already built enough of a financial buffer to do so. 

How did she get here?
The first step was to help her find herself again, to quiet all the noise and tune into her intuition, her higher self. 

Then we tweaked templates, processes, funnels, scripts, techniques so that they felt right at a soul deep level and so that they worked at an energetic level with the law of attraction.
We worked on her relationships - not with her nearest and dearest (though of course her partner and her kids love seeing this difference in her) and not even with her clients but her relationships with her business, with money, with her guide team and with herself. 

She started noticing differences as soon as we started working together. 
More followers on her socials. 
More comments, more genuine connections. 
More inbound leads. 
More calls booked. 
More confidence on those calls. 
More offers made. 
More people saying yes. 

She easily earned back the money she spent on her sales expert, on my coaching package and then some. 

Perhaps more importantly, she started sleeping better. 
She felt lighter in her body, like she wasn't carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders anymore. 
She laughed more. 
The world got its colour back.
