I'm coming to a city near you. After everyone left Tulum, I spent an extra week in Mexico to reflect + refuel. And 2 things became abundantly clear....
 
1. The intimate mastermind in the sun will become an annual event.
2. We're going to start doing more international in-person events. Some will be dinner meetups, others will be workshops, and a few will be bigger transformational experiences.
 
Starting with:

→ London in October
→ Toronto in October
 
And we might even host a little something in Thunder Bay in April.

I just signed an agreement where the DEPOSIT I have to pay is $21,770. I realized that's about how much I had in credit card debt 10 years ago (with another $7k ish owing on a line of credit on top of that). It's wild how much things have changed in the last decade.

I credit much of the shift to Doing Bold Sh*t.

And this simple strategy I live by:

1. Do Bold Sh*t that scares you.
2. Reflect + learn as you go. 
3. Share what you're learning to teach + inspire others. 
4. Repeat.

I don't know that I've ever made a promise like this. But if you're a coach who wants to get more clients + make more impact: watch this. You'll know exactly where you need to focus. In just 71 seconds.

In 2023, I hit a wall. 
My LinkedIn content was getting loads of views, I had plenty of followers, people were liking and commenting and even sending DMs that I was "inspiring" or sharing "great insights." But none of it mattered. 

My business had plateaued and I wasn't signing new clients.

I'd wake up every day thinking about what to post, spend hours commenting on other people's content, and do all the things the LinkedIn gurus said you sure do.
But trying to win the popularity contest wasn't magically bringing in clients. And it had me worried. If things didn't change, I might have to go back to working for someone else.

Then something hit me.

When I first launched Growth Habit, I signed 12 coaching clients in the first two weeks. Twelve. I didn't have a big following, I wasn't posting every day, and I definitely didn't have some fancy content strategy.

So what the hell had changed since then?

I'd lost sight of what actually worked. I'd gotten so caught up in creating more content and chasing engagement that I'd forgotten the thing that made me successful in the first place. I wasn't creating demand anymore, I was just creating noise.

So I stopped.

I stopped trying to chase the algorithm and stopped doing what people with hundreds of thousands of followers said I "should" be doing. I went back to what actually worked: understanding what needs to happen in someone's brain for them to go from "that's helpful" to "I need to work with this person."

Here's the part that blows my mind:

In the last two years my revenue has more than doubled while my LinkedIn views have dropped dramatically. I spend less time on here but am having more impact. Because I’ve focused on creating demand instead of chasing engagement.

Stop using exploitative language in job ads!

“Going the extra mile", "working non-typical hours":

These are thinly veiled words to give the company an excuse to exploit people.

- When it says: “go the extra mile”
It actually means: “work beyond your scope”.

- When it says: “work non-typical hours”
It actually means: “work overtime without complains”.

I’m coaching a client to speak well in interviews -
And this language immediately stood out.

Language reflects culture.

When the job ad sounds exploitative,
That’s what the actual job will be too.

If you want to fix your culture, prevent toxicity and retain people for longer -

Use words that respect employees, not exploit them.

PS - ever come across job ads like these?

The weirdest way to make someone feel important:

(and no, it’s not flattery)

Tilt your head when you listen to them.

This is so weird - but it totally works.

When you tilt your head as someone’s talking:

- You show interest in them.
- They register this quickly as it’s visual.
- They feel like you're considering their point of view.

When you make people feel seen and heard,
You win their hearts and minds.

I created LinkedIn’s first course on AI and public speaking.

But here’s where you should not use AI:

Look, I love AI.

But this MIT study shows that relying on AI:

→ Decreases your brain connectivity.
→ Weakens your memory.
→ Makes you less creative.

This doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t use AI.

But use it to enhance your creativity.

Not outsource it.

Here’s my take as a public speaking coach:

→ Always come up with the key ideas yourself.
→ Use AI to critique and build on your ideas.
→ AI becomes your co-creator, not your ghostwriter.

You bring the personality, ideas, stories.

AI enhances and packages it.

Win-win.

How I create world-class speakers:

(applies to mastering anything)

I didn’t wake up confident.

I built it.

Over 17 years on stages, on camera, in boardrooms.

I used to speak too fast.
Had too many filler words.
Got called out on my wild hand gestures.

Then I realized something.

The problem isn’t fear.

It’s losing access to your intelligence
right when it matters most.

So I studied it.
Tested it.
Broke it down.

Here’s what actually creates a Top 1% communicator:

1. Change the story
If you think “I’m bad at speaking”
your body will make it true.

2. Build self-trust first
Confidence comes from trusting your message.

3. Learn the right tools
Understand how to master your voice.
It’s the most powerful tool that you have.

4. Train with feedback
If you practice without feedback it builds bad habits.
Practice + feedback builds mastery.

5. Learn to improvise
Improvising is not “winging it”.
It’s training your brain to respond on demand.

It took me 17 years to learn this.

I’m Nausheen. I have purple hair and I coach CEOs.

This is why purple hair is my “unfair advantage”:

For most of my career, I tried to look the part.

Corporate manager.
Filmmaker.
Agency director.

Professional. Safe. The same as everyone else.

Then I started coaching founders to find their voice.
And realized something.

I wasn’t fully using mine.

So the purple hair became a reminder of three things:

1. Don’t be invisible.

My clients are brilliant founders, coaches, experts.

But they shy away from the spotlight.
They hide behind their keyboards.
And someone else gets their clients.

Visibility is an entrepreneur’s superpower.

2. Live up to the promise.

The purple hair gets my foot in the door.

It stops the scroll.

But being a credible expert means:
Being able to consistently deliver.

I never forget that.

3. Your difference is your leverage.

When I started coaching leaders, I worried:
“Will CEOs take me seriously?”

But the opposite happened.

The purple hair became a signal.

“Nausheen doesn’t teach generic leadership advice.”
“She helps me stand out in any room.”

So yes.

I’m Nausheen.
I stand out because of my purple hair.

And I coach CEOs to stand out without dyeing theirs.
