What are your company goals this year?

21, full of self doubt and starting my first job out of college. I stepped into a department of 150 people, all distinguished, polished and older than me.

Confidence was immediately shot.

In training I didn't pass my first time and had to do it again.

My second week I had to give a presentation in front of 20 people at a dealership and sweat more than I knew was possible.

Finances were tight, I bought clothes at Burlington Coat Factory on sale.

I started traveling the country and one week I'd crush it, the next week I'd get a reality check.

One week I was set to give a big presentation, went to In N Out beforehand, looked down as I was finishing up and found special sauce all over my only shirt- a white button up.

Another week and big presentation, I forgot an umbrella and ended up in an absolute downpour, also without a change of clothes.

I got up there and owned it.

Over the course of a couple years I rose in the rankings and eventually got promoted.

I actually think that being uncomfortable, having things go wrong, dealing with those nerves led me to build a resilience.

If nothing else, I learned to try things again and again, to get better.

Over the next month we are going to have several big announcements I'm itching to share

First of which, thrilled to bring aboard Ashley Deighan, MBA to our advisory board. 

Ashley serves as Director of Security at the Mayo Clinic and has some next level background in healthcare, AI and security.

We had a potential customer try to get onto the ArgoIQ platform for free

They want the benefits of AI and accuracy, but aren't sure about AI yet.

MEANWHILE another company just like them came in, wanted to sign up and pay right away because they want to win in business. 

The businesses ready to win and try things are going to do well

The ones waiting and hoping are going to struggle.

Talked to a guy who quit his $180k corporate job to start a business...

2 years later he's making $65k and stressed out of his mind in his agency

His advice?

"Don't quit until your side business is making MORE than your salary for at least 6 months straight"

He jumped at $4k/month thinking it would scale fast and he'd have freedom.

It didn't.
