* Improved design and approval processes for weekly production and for long-term development projects.

Manager of Site Design

Circuit City

* Lead the Circuit City site redesign, including forming objectives, guiding interaction and visual design, planning content deployment and participating in user acceptance testing.
* Manage the web design and development program of circuitcity.com, ensuring the user experience was consistent between site sections.  Also enforced a style guide sitewide.
* Manage a design team of 5 web designers, 1 senior designer, one senior project coordinator and a team of freelancers. 
* Responsible for looking at web analytics and suggesting design revisions based on the analysis.
* Direct the usability testing program for circuircity.com including task-based analysis, real-time web surveys and focus groups.
* Manage creative aspects of the banner advertising, e-mail marketing programs and sweepstakes programs.
* Responsible for creative production process improvements.

I love simple!  
After 20 years of working in the HR Outsourcing Industry, I grew concerned about the stigma that small businesses had about Human Resources: HR was too complex.  The result of that stigma was three recurring themes:

1.	“Catch me if you can” with labor law compliance was a strategy. 
2.	Businesses that did have an internal staff member handling HR were often learning by trial and error. 
3.	When asked to consider Human Resource advice, concerns included: “Waste of time; they will talk over my head.” 

I believe my profession can do better than that!
So was born my inspiration for HR Done Differently.  Small business HR support that follows our core values; Simple, Understandable, Relevant and Empowering.   

I now live by two goals:
1.  Provide our growing team with a great place to work, with our 100% remote model.
2.  Inspire those who make day to day HR decisions to want to know more.  Because, "when you know better, you do better" - Maya Angelou.
