One of the earliest commercial Rails platforms, still a major shareholder. Now a European leader in publisher e-commerce, serving 100+ publishing houses.

	•Sharkaroo (founded 2018, Thailand)
Founder & CEO. Lead a 12-engineer software team delivering CHEQs, Vertikal, NFiniti, Pixtrakk Objects, AMPLE (MVP), and multiple enterprise-grade platforms.

🤖👨‍💻Coding with AI? The Oldest Metric Still Winning.

There’s a metric used in software engineering for decades: the more lines of code you have, the more bugs you’ll inevitably end up with.

It’s unfashionable, definitely not AI-friendly but still painfully accurate.

Today, AI lets us generate 10×, 50×, 100× more code than before. That feels like leverage until you remember that every line is:

- A liability
- A surface area to secure
- A future maintenance cost

As of today AI lowered the cost of creating complexity.

The risk isn’t that AI writes bad code but that it writes too much acceptable code, faster than humans can meaningfully understand, review, or own.

If your process rewards speed over clarity, output over comprehension and volume over intent then AI will happily amplify all of it.

The real skill shift in 2026 is code restraint:

- Saying no to generated abstractions
- Deleting more than you keep
- Forcing designs to get simpler, not bigger

LOC was never about counting lines but about respecting complexity.

That lesson didn’t age out, we just stopped wanting to hear it.

I walk through the woods thinking about blockchain

I like to understand and contemplate difficult technical concepts to the point that I can explain them to non-technical people. My focus for the last twelve years has been blockchain, although I know a bit about GNSS, databases, security and cryptography, and test automation.

I also like working out where technology fits into the business world, and how it can impact us in a psychological, sociological, and even philosophical sense.

I wish people would stop asking me to "also develop a website for the project, if you can."
