They think they’re hiring a “tax strategist.”




When in reality…

What they actually need
is a tax coach.

Let me explain.

You probably think my job is sitting in a dark room,
building complex structures,
inventing exotic loopholes,
and pulling rabbits out of the Internal Revenue Code.

That’s about 10% of it.

The other 90%?

→ Getting you to run payroll the right way
→ Making sure you actually separate personal and business spending
→ Ensuring distributions don’t exceed basis
→ Timing income and expenses properly
→ Structuring compensation correctly
→ Paying estimates on time

None of that is sexy.

All of that saves serious money.

Here’s the truth most people don’t want to hear:

The tax code already gives you massive advantages as a business owner.

But it only works
if you execute correctly.

You don’t need another TikTok strategy.

You need:

→ Consistency
→ Documentation
→ Clean books
→ Intentional decision-making
→ Discipline before December 31

That’s coaching.

Because strategy without implementation
is just theory.

And theory doesn’t survive an IRS notice.

Most tax savings are not created by exotic structures.

They’re created by:

→ Running accountable plans properly
→ Maximizing retirement contributions
→ Leveraging depreciation strategically
→ Electing S-Corp status at the right profit level
→ Understanding reasonable compensation
→ Planning distributions intentionally

Notice something?

None of that is complicated.

But it requires behavior change.

And behavior change requires coaching.

Anyone can draft a strategy memo.

Very few professionals will:

→ Review your numbers monthly
→ Push back when you overspend
→ Stop you from commingling
→ Tell you to delay a purchase
→ Tell you to accelerate one
→ Hold you accountable to the plan

That’s where the real value lives.

The IRS doesn’t penalize you for having ideas.

It penalizes you for executing them poorly.

So yes, I’m a tax strategist.

But most days?

I’m coaching business owners
to operate in a way
that legally reduces their tax burden
without ever stepping outside the lines.

Because wealth isn’t built on one clever move.

It’s built on disciplined execution
year after year.

If you want someone to “file your return,”
there are plenty of options.

If you want someone to coach you
into operating like a tax-optimized business owner…

That’s a different conversation.
