My ability to spot a good story is what landed me my first job in journalism. But it was my decade of profiling startups, small businesses, nonprofits and some of San Francisco’s most influential people that taught me how to tell one. 

A move into marketing and another decade dabbling in the creator economy—first with a food blog, then a motherhood magazine—taught me how to use those stories to build communities through content and collaborations.  

Now my mission is to help purpose-driven people and brands build loyal audiences who don't just want what you offer, but love what you stand for.  

Founders and business owners come to me when they need a strategic storyteller and networked creator. 

The results?

1. A clear brand narrative.
2. A simple, sustainable plan and process for consistently sharing that narrative through content across all channels. 
3. A bank of differentiated ideas pulled from stories and experiences to use everywhere.

This year, it’ll be 5 years since I moved away from home… 🥹🏡


I came to London from Delhi at 19 to pursue my undergrad at UCL and chase a dream of building my own path

It wasn’t easy. I had no friends, no guidebook, and no connections

The education system was completely new for me, and so I spent my first year just trying to keep up with grades, barely having time to think about internships, networking, or career opportunities

After 3 years at university, the real grind began. I faced rejection after rejection. Hundreds of times (800+ to be precise). It was exhausting, lonely, and at times, I wondered if it was worth it

But I had one thing that kept me moving: the (stubborn) desire to make my dream happen. That’s when I started posting on LinkedIn, sharing what I was learning, connecting with people, and creating opportunities for myself

Slowly, things began to shift: freelance projects, my first post-uni role (even though I was made redundant after six months), more freelance opportunities, brand collaborations, speaking opportunities… and now, leading marketing & growth at Jely

The process wasn’t easy. It’s still not easy. But it is possible

…is hard. I’ve been there, and so has Nefise 🥹✨🪐

Building marketing from zero looks very different from scaling something that already works. It requires clarity before traction, conviction before validation, and consistency before results

I’ve been building inside startups, where you’re shaping positioning, testing channels, and creating demand all at the same time
