First Working Week of 2026: Here's what changed while you were on holiday

Organize work plan, coordinating with Construction Manager leads Supervisors leads foremen, Lead men, skilled labor, and work crews in all activities concerned project. Ability to . optimize resources (manpower, equipment and materials) to ensure efficient and timely completion of the project. Able to demonstrate excellent labor management skills, following policies, procedures and work practices, and developing improvements where necessary. Competent in reading and understanding Specifications, drawings, and all other discipline related project and engineering documentation. Familiar with and enforces strict compliance with all QA/QC and Safety procedures, plus all Company rules and regulations. Commands respect of his foremen, Lead men, skilled labor and discipline workforce, and develops excellent working relationships with all other department personnel. Must be an excellent communicator. Able to give instructions and transfer knowledge in an efficient and effective way to co‐workers and staff. Liaises with other discipline staff to ensure the optimum interface of the various operational activities, with the overall objective of successful completion of the project. Understands the principles and importance of planning. Monitors and tracks daily progress and work completed, comparing planned to actual. Takes appropriate mitigating action to ensure compliance with the plan, based on knowledge of available manpower, equipment, materials. Ensures that the foremen, Lead men understand and implement the work plan, by explaining and engaging in pro‐active communication with the crews. Follows the three week and one week look‐ahead plans for the civil works of the project, in close liaison with construction, planning and other departments and disciplines.
Reviews quantities of materials received or used during specified periods, in order to minimize wastage and inefficiency. Ensures that all work is in conformity to standards and specifications.

Organize work plan, coordinating with Construction Manager, for volunteer crews prior to their build day on site. Hold an orientation to begin each work day. Provide adequate supervision and training of volunteers on the job site. This includes holding an initial meeting with the volunteers at the beginning of the day to discuss the plan for the day, assign the appropriate amount of volunteers to tasks, description of safety guidelines, and assuring that duties are not being performed by individuals of an inappropriate age group. Work days will include hands-on training of unskilled volunteers, partner families, and Vista National Service Construction crew leaders. Ensure that all work done meets all local building codes and all safety compliance requirements, including; OSHA, Habitat for Humanity International, and Honolulu Habitat For Humanity safety and health policy guidelines. Must be comfortable using typical construction power tools and knowledge of the appropriate tools to be used for each task, as well as ability to construct scaffolding per safety guidelines. Accountable for safety of all personnel and security of the materials and dwellings on job site. Must lead by example and follow all safety requirements set by HHH. Prioritizes visiting the job site on volunteer build days and sub-contractor work days. Follows plan for the home, working with the partner family on an as needed basis. Accountable for the job until Construction Manager signs off on.
