Marketing Communication Specialist 

As a Marketing Coordinator at Presagia, I support the Marketing Manager and the Vice President of Sales and Marketing to position Presagia as the top absence management system and attract leads in creative ways within the HR industry. 

This involves a variety of tasks including strengthening and implementing an SEO strategy, analyzing our campaigns, reporting on monthly marketing metrics, studying competitors, organizing in-house webinars, and attending industry leading webinars to stay up-to-date with current hot topics.

I also manage and cultivate a strong brand identity through social media platforms (e.g. grow our following and boost engagement), create engaging content by contributing to industry-known magazines and blogs, updating our COVID-19 Resource Page, and produce case studies, whitepapers, and presentations.   

On top of these tasks, I’m also a member of the culture committee, known as the Employee Engagement Team, where I contribute ideas and implement strategies to create a cohesive and positive work environment (e.g. plan events, discuss issues like work-life balance and return to work).

Marketing Coordinator

Presagia is a cloud-based leave management system, helping employers manage their employees’ leaves of absence, including the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), federal, state, and local leaves, along with workplace accommodations, including those under the American with Disabilities Act (ADA). 

As a Marketing Assistant at Presagia, I supported the Marketing Coordinator and Vice President of Sales and Marketing by managing the company’s social media presence and by creating relevant and engaging content (e.g. emails, blogs, whitepapers). 

I also assisted with planning trade shows, analyzing competitors, keeping up-to-date on ever-changing leave laws, and I even assisted with creating a company mascot- Presagia Puffin.

Presagia Sports

As a Marketing Coordinator for Presagia Sports, I worked closely with the President of Presagia Sports and the Marketing Manager to strategize new ways to capture leads. This involved reporting on and optimizing our lead nurturing campaigns, closely monitoring competitors and developing relevant and insightful industry content.  

This content included blogs, emails, and feature comparisons and brochures. On top of that I was also responsible for managing our social media presence (Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn) which involved posting interesting content and engaging with the athletic community.

Presagia Sports provides an enterprise-class Athlete Electronic Health Record (EHR) to Olympic organizations, professional sports teams, and sports medicine clinics to help them manage their athletes’ day-to-day activities to improve their health, recovery from injury and performance. 

As a Marketing Assistant for Presagia Sports, I supported the Marketing Coordinator, Vice President of Sales & Marketing and President of Presagia Sports with original content creation (e.g. blogs, emails, social media). 

I also assisted with research for larger marketing initiatives and planning and execution for trade shows.

The algorithm didn’t save me.


A nurse, with kindness in her voice, did.


A few years ago, I found myself sitting in a hospital gown, hair-net crooked, thumbs up, waiting for a simple surgery.

Not my most glamorous moment.

But what happened next taught me more about human-centered leadership than any AI keynote, conference panel, or futurist forecast.


A nurse asked what I did for a living.

“I’m a professor,” I whispered, half-drowsy, half-awake.

Her eyes widened.
“Angie! Florence! We’ve got a professor over here!”

Suddenly I had an audience — nurses, techs, staff — all circling around, talking about school, fear of statistics, the struggle of learning, and the pride of pushing through.

There I was:
half-asleep, half-dressed, and fully present.

And somehow, that was enough.


What struck me wasn’t the attention.
It was the connection.

No algorithm curated that moment.
No AI system facilitated that exchange.
No dashboard optimized that level of care.

It was simply humans turning toward one another.

A real-time reminder that:

Authenticity invites authenticity.
Attention creates connection.
Care is contagious.


In a world where everything feels automated, accelerated, and “optimized,” we forget:

Human-centered leadership isn’t a technique.

So here’s my weekly reflection:

We can do incredible things with AI.
But the moments that matter?
They’re still human-made.

The better question is:
“Who do I become as a leader with AI?”


Because here’s the paradox of this moment:

As AI gets smarter,
human skills get scarcer.


And what becomes priceless?

1️⃣Empathy.
2️⃣Trust.
3️⃣Psychological safety.

The quiet, steady work of showing up with care.


AI can sort data.
AI can draft emails.
AI can summarize a meeting you barely stayed awake in.


But AI cannot:

identity, intentionality, agency, context, awareness —
