The Mayor of Helsinki invited me for a drink.


Okay, not just me..

And technically, it was a sparkling juice.

Yesterday, I attended the annual citizenship celebration hosted by Mayor Daniel Sazonov at Helsinki City Hall.

I’ve been officially Finnish for just over a year - and being invited to this event felt genuinely warm and welcoming.

Finland has its problems.
Big problems.
It’s not perfect.
But it’s my new home. 

And here I am:

Building business.
Paying taxes.
Employing people.
Helping people.
Contributing as a citizen.

With all the noise, anger, and division online, don’t forget to notice the good. 

Even small actions matter when building a better future.
