Yesterday I had the privilege of listening to Marc Bernath as the keynote speaker for the Fall 2025 Graduation of the Founder Institute, a community I’m proud to be part of.

What truly inspired me was not only what Marc has built, but how he thinks.

He speaks about connecting ecosystems and allies across worlds that usually don’t talk to each other — startups, corporates, cities, public institutions — all in service of something bigger than any single organization.
That mindset resonated deeply with me.

If we dare to dream bigger, why not scale what he helped create in Berlin?

Berlin — a city once divided by a wall — has transformed into a global epicenter of innovation, collaboration, and bold ideas. Marc’s work in transforming an airport into a living innovation ecosystem is a powerful reminder that systems can be redesigned, and cities can reinvent themselves.

And that leads me to my own dream with BridgeLATAM.

What if Berlin — and Germany more broadly — becomes not just a European innovation hub, but the bridge connecting Europe and Latin America?
What if we actively export Europe’s brilliant solutions — in mobility, energy, sustainability, and digital transformation — to a Latin American continent that urgently needs them?
And what if, in return, we unlock the talent, resilience, and creativity of LATAM for Europe?

I believe real change happens when we connect the right people, across borders, sectors, and cultures — and give builders the relationships, trust, and platforms they need to create impact.

Being an alumni of Founder Institute ( grateful for that Ferdinand Mühlhäuser 🇺🇦🌍 and all Founder Institute Berlin / Germany !) ñ, meeting Marc in person, and building from a city like Berlin — surrounded by brilliant, mission-driven people — reinforces my conviction that everything is connected, and that bridges matter more than walls.

Grateful for the inspiration, the learning, and the reminder to keep dreaming big — and then execute.
