Agentic AI is improving fast… but it’s still not the “set it and forget it” worker people expect.

I tried using agents for real tasks (research → plan → execute with tools).

My results were consistent:
- Same prompt, 10 runs → different plans + different outcomes.
- Tool calls fail more than demos admit (auth, rate limits, UI changes) → the agent often *doesn’t recover*.
- On longer jobs, it drifts: forgets constraints, repeats steps, or confidently “fills gaps”.

So the progress is real (planning + tool use is a big step).
But the missing piece is **reliability**: success rate, cost, and recovery under messy real-world conditions.

Agentic AI isn’t disappointing.
Our expectations are just ahead of the engineering. 😇

Corporate Culture: Smart people spending too much time hunting for answers and rewriting the same updates—policy questions, status notes, customer follow‑ups.

We tried a simple change: one place to ask, “What’s the latest?” and “What’s the right way to handle this?”
