Instead, consider the CRP (Clients, Referrers, Peers) method:

Most creators only post one type of content.

Usually, the one that feels easiest.

But you need a mix of 4 content types:

Value posts - teach something useful
Authority posts - showcase your wins
Lifestyle posts - share your human side
Viral posts - entertainment that spreads

And most people pick one and never leave it.

The value givers never flex.
The authority builders forget to teach.
The lifestyle sharers don't prove credibility.

But here's what I've learned writing for 7+ thought leaders:

The best personal brands blend all four.

They teach you something on Monday.
Flex a client win on Wednesday.
Share a weekend reflection on Friday.

Your audience doesn't want one-dimensional content.

They want to learn from you.
Trust you.
And feel like they know you.

So stop forcing yourself into one box.

It's been over a month since I picked up a book.

I've been busy with work.

And when I'm not working? I'm on my couch doomscrolling.

And honestly, it's fried my brain.

I'm struggling to come up with fresh perspectives.
Everything feels stale.
My thoughts feel… lazy.

And I know I'm not alone in this.

When you stop feeding your brain new ideas, your content suffers.

You start recycling the same thoughts.
Rewording the same posts.
Sounding like everyone else.

So here's my reminder (to myself and you):

Input affects output.

If you're only consuming social media, your ideas will sound like social media.

Read books.
Listen to podcasts.
Have real conversations.

Your content will thank you.

Every social media platform is flooded with wins.

"I booked 10 sales calls."
"I booked 7 speaking events."
"I bought a house and a car."

And I'm genuinely happy for those people.

But I wish more people were honest about the before.

No one talks about posting in the void for 6 months before seeing results.

No one mentions having 0 speaking events one quarter, then getting flooded later.

No one shares that they lived in rent for 15 years before buying that house.

We only see the highlight reel.

And it makes everyone else feel like they're falling behind.

Here's what I want to see more of:

The messy middle.
The months of silence.
The rejections before the yeses.

Because that's where the real story is.

Success isn't a straight line.

And pretending it is doesn't help anyone.

So if you're sharing wins, share the losses too.

That's what builds real connection.

This weekend, I sat down to batch content for myself.

First 30 minutes? Completely blank page.

Last 30 minutes? 17 ideas jotted down.

Here's what I did:

I reflected on the last 2 weeks.

Things I learned.
Observed.
Mistakes I made.
Conversations I had.

Then I asked myself:

What lessons can my audience learn from this?

And boom. Ideas everywhere.

What surprised me most?

I didn't scroll through saved posts.
I didn't look at viral content.
I didn't rely on AI.

I just reflected.

And all 17 ideas were unique. Relevant. Real.

Here's the lesson:

The best content ideas don't come from the internet.

They come from your life.

Pay attention to what's happening around you.

That's where the stories are.
