Scientists Just Ran Brain Scans on ChatGPT Users…

The Results Raised Red Flags 🚩 

A recent study reported to come from researchers at MIT Media Lab tracked 54 students over 4 months using EEG brain scans.

The findings were… uncomfortable.

Heavy ChatGPT users reportedly showed:
• Reduced neural connectivity (up to 47%)
• Difficulty recalling content they had just generated
• Increased mental passivity
• Worse performance on follow-up tasks — even without AI access

The concern isn’t “AI is bad.”

It’s how people are using it.

When AI replaces thinking instead of augmenting it, the brain adapts by doing… less.
