After a nearly fatal accident in 2012, I dropped out of university to pursue a more meaningful path, building something of my own. That journey led to co-founding Glow25, a pro-aging beauty brand that grew from zero to €130 million in revenue and an 8-figure EBIT within five years, completely bootstrapped.

Believing that the next stage of Glow25 deserves experienced leadership, my co-founders Nico, Janis and I recently handed over the reins to an exceptional new C-Level team.

Steven Mattwig (CEO) previously scaled the digital business of Douglas from €500 M to over €1 B across 20+ countries and later led Niche Beauty and Parfum Dreams as CEO.

Arnd Mückenberger (CFO) brings deep CFO experience from HABA, Pro7Sat1 Digital, and Cyberport, where he helped grow the business from €170 M to over €500 M.

Together with a 10-person leadership team including former executives from Amazon, Zalando, Glossybox, EY, Enpal, s.Oliver, and HelloFresh — many of whom have been part of Glow25 for years, some since day one — this new chapter aims to define the future of pro-aging in Europe.

Personally, I now focus on what gives me energy: supporting the company as Chairman and Strategic Advisor, while spending more time on martial arts, music, writing, and angel investing. I also co-founded ANTIberlin, a social wellness collective recently described by Vogue as “the Soho House of social wellness.”

Lastly, I’m deeply committed to my role as Founder and Chairman of the Glow Foundation, which fights poverty and loneliness among elderly women in Germany. Over the past three years, we’ve donated nearly €500,000 of Glow25 profits to this cause — and we’re now partnering with other organizations to create more lasting structural impact.

❤️‍🩹 2025 war voller Termine – Dieser war jedoch der wichtigste 

Ich sage es ungeschönt. Trotz aller Routinen rund um Gesundheit und Balance haben mich die letzten 10 Jahre Entrepreneurship, insbesondere der Aufbau von Glow25 stark geschlaucht. 

Jetzt gerade geht es bei mir nicht darum, weiter Vollgas zu geben, sondern die Intensität des letzten Jahrzehnts zu verdauen. 

👉 Daher fragte ich mich Ende letzten Jahres, wo mein Körper eigentlich steht. 

Und fand eine Antwort darauf in der YEARS Longevity Klinik in Berlin. Dort unterzog ich mich einen halben Tag lang umfangreichen Check-up. Ehrlicherweise fühlte der sich weniger nach Optimierung an und mehr nach Einordnung und Wahrnehmung:

Ganzkörper-Screenings, Blutanalysen, bildgebende Verfahren, Leistungs- und Stoffwechseltests, von Herz-Kreislauf bis Nervensystem. Der Kern darin war eine Status-quo-Analyse aller meiner Organsysteme, von Leber bis Herz und Lunge, in denen ich sogar das Alter des jeweiligen Organs sehen und Risiken für die Zukunft klug vorwegnehmen kann. 

Zum Schluss verblieb ich mit einem knapp 60-seitigen Bericht rund im meine aktuelle Gesundheit mit vielen Alltags-Tipps, die ich direkt umsetzen kann. 

Aber der einflussreichste Teil stand nicht auf diesem Bericht. Es war ein langes, persönliches Gespräch mit dem YEARS-Arzt Alex.

Seine wichtigste Empfehlung für mich war kein neuer Biohack oder ein weiteres Supplement, sondern: Runterkommen. 

Er hat mir empfohlen, schwimmen zu gehen (perfekt bei meinen Resultaten),  eine Meditations-App zu nutzen und den Aufenthalt in einem Kloster zu erleben, als radikalen Gegenpol zu meinem bisherigen Lebensalltag. 

Was hat sich seit der Untersuchung konkret verändert?

- Ich gehe wieder 3x die Woche schwimmen und liebe es
- tägliche Entspannungs-Momente auf der Shakti Mat oder mit Red Light 
- ein paar Supplements angepasst & Ballaststoffe erhöht 

Dadurch hat sich schon jetzt:
- mein Ruhepuls deutlich gesenkt
- meine Schlafqualität deutlich verbessert
- und für alle Tracker: HRV und vo2max ebenfalls verbessert

✨ Und: Im Januar gehe ich für ein paar Tage ins Kloster! Full digital detox.

Am Ende bleibt für mich vor allem ein Gedanke: Gesundheit ist kein weiteres Projekt, das man optimiert und abhakt, sondern eine Beziehung, die stetig Aufmerksamkeit braucht und das nicht erst dann, wenn etwas aus dem Gleichgewicht gerät. Je früher wir aufhören, nur reaktiv zu handeln und anfangen, präventiv hinzuschauen, desto nachhaltiger wird sie.

Ich werde ab jetzt mindestens 1x pro Jahr einen Check-up bei Years machen und meine Gesundheitsreise von Doc Alex und dem Team begleiten lassen.

I see potential most people miss.

For 20+ years, I've built talent functions that work, not because I follow templates, but because I understand what actually moves a business forward. I'm wired differently. A pattern-matcher who connects dots others can't see.

The best hires I've made didn't come from perfect resumes or textbook job descriptions. They came from seeing something in someone that wasn't obvious yet and knowing exactly where that potential needed to go.

What I do:
I design recruiting systems from scratch that reflect how companies actually operate, not how HR textbooks say they should. At Groq, I lead global business recruiting across GTM, Finance, Legal, Marketing, Data Center Ops, Forward Deployed Engineering, and the executive layer. I've stood up entire organizations internationally, filled roles that "couldn't be filled," and built teams that moved fast without breaking things.

Before that, I founded DotConnect (Inc. 5000, 2022 & 2023) and worked as a founder's first recruiter or trusted advisor for companies like Samsung NEXT, Snapchat, and hundreds of others. You wouldn't know it, we worked in the background, embedded with internal teams, making them look good without taking credit.

The work is strategy and execution in equal measure: building infrastructure, training teams, advising leadership, staying close enough to know what's actually working.

How I work:
I'm direct. If comp is misaligned, I'll say it. If your process is the problem, we'll fix it. If a "hiring challenge" is actually a decision problem, we'll address that first.

I work hard because I love this, not as a martyr, but because matching the right person to the right opportunity is the thing I'm built to do.

A few things I believe:
Candidates aren't pipeline. Hiring managers aren't requisition machines. AI can accelerate great recruiting, but it doesn't replace judgment, trust, or the ability to see what isn't obvious yet.
Recruiting is a craft. Part strategy, part intelligence-gathering, part human instinct.

What I'm looking for next:
Something disruptive. A big problem to solve. A company building something that matters where talent becomes the competitive advantage, not an afterthought. I want to create impact, build from the ground up, and have fun doing it.

Fueled by family, commitment, and curiosity for what's next.
