With the SCRUM-based studio in Eindhoven I worked on the design of an android- and iOS time management game called Fabulous: Angela’s Wedding Disaster and interactive novel game called My Original Stories, as well as LiveOPS design on the time management game Heart’s Medicine: Doctor’s Oath. Achievements and daily tasks included:
- Released one premium game on PC, android, iOS, Mac, and others
- Released one free-to-play game on android and iOS
- Continued one LiveOps free-to-play game on android and iOS
- Provided comprehensive game design documentation to be used throughout the company
- Provided comprehensive A/B and LiveOps test-cases and designs that are still used as of now
- Being involved as a designer from early concept to release on two projects
- Creating prototypes with developers and without to see design results, early
- Providing comprehensive game design documentation for artists, developers and everyone else involved in the projects
- Presenting design ideas to everyone involved in the project
- Designing levels and interaction with a focus on narrative goals and mood
- Creating wireframes and mock-ups

Junior Game Designer

Together with the (Madrid-based) content team I worked on an android- and iOS interactive novel game called My Original Stories, bearing responsibility for several stories and seasons shown in the game from concept to release. I also worked on several personal (hobby) projects. Achievements and daily tasks included:
- Released two seasons of the most successful story (Heart’s Medicine: New Blood) in the My Original Stories app
- Collaborated on documentation on narrative design still used throughout the company
- Solo wrote several scenes in the narrative design phase
- Solo wrote several scenes in the script 
- Presented learnings from a narrative conference to the entire company
- Created biographies and descriptions of the characters of the stories for both writers and artists
- Was the main point of communication for external narrative designers and script writers on deadlines, content creation, guidelines
- Provided ideas, feedback and deciding on provided story premises, beats and narrative designs 
- Provided ideas, feedback and deciding on choice of words, pacing, branching and player choices in both narrative design and script with a focus on flow and consistency
- Assisted the script-writers and implementing the script in the narrative tools, fixing bugs
- Set pacing in dialogue, branches and gameplay, changing the script when necessary
- Communicated and implementing character art, backgrounds, music and moods fitting the story
- Testing and bug fixing in story scripts

I started working at GameHouse as a QA specialist but was able to grow into design after a year. As a franchise QA specialist I was the lead QA for two projects and practical QA for many others, as well as the first fully studio-integrated QA specialist within the company, of which the results are still used throughout the company. Daily tasks included:
- Released the most bug-free game in Gamehouse history
- Being QA lead on several game projects from early concept to release
- Creating test documentation that is still used throughout the company for our catalogue
- Creating test documentation for specific games
- Leading and documenting QA meetings
- Writing bug reports
- Writing feedback reports
- Gathering reports from other testers internal and external, grouping, analyzing and prioritizing them for development
- Communicating with the development team about QA

I am a game designer from the Netherlands, with a passion for (serious- and/or applied) games. I believe games can be more than entertainment, I believe they can change people in many ways. I try to find subtle ways to change the experience and behavior of players without them realizing it. I believe narrative is important in that as well, as can be seen in my work and my hobbies.

I am broadly interested and educated and it shows in my work and experience. I have good experience working in teams, and enjoy working together to solve creative problems.
