Hi, I’m Rachid 🤙

My first job was at 15, working for my dad. He’s always gone far and beyond for the customer, always providing value for money.  Fast-forward 13 years, I’m always asking myself “how much value can I provide?” Wherever I go, whatever I do. 

Now with 8 + years in the Marketing game, I’ve spent the majority of my career moving the needle to create profitable outcomes and produce cost-effective growth. I believe my focus and achievements have been based on several things, namely:

#1. Outcome Focused:
I like to roll up my sleeves and make things happen.  Tackling the entire growth journey, from acquisition to monetisation, through activation, retention, and referral. Delivering results results such as consistent lead flow, fitting tactics together to drive LTV up / CAC down, as well as delivering ROI, faster and at a lower cost.

#2. Full-Stack:  
I lean towards being 'full-stack' rather than a specialist. This has led to me producing better outputs by being good at a broad range of skills. I'm always curious, trying to understand everything, which has helped build a unique, complementary and valuable skill stack.
 
#3. Doing > Talking: 
The best way I learn is by actually doing. Experimentation, iteration, improvement, trial and error.  I try to spend most of my time observing and then doing things that have a real measurable effect. I take the ‘Theory Then Action’ route - before the action, I like to define the end goal, break it down into the actions I need to achieve it, and then the knowledge I need to have in order to take that action. 

#4. Standing Out:
There is nothing worse than indifference.  I try not to rely on the tactics that thousands are already employing. Instead, I approach the market with a fresh perspective and identify what unique value I can bring to the table.

Created a business with ARR of over $100m, by successful launching new products, new markets, and recovering failing business units within Epsilon. Given responsibility for scaling new retail media and CX SaaS platforms outside Mainland Europe and have delivered first integrated retail media solutions globally as a result leading to exponential revenue results.

Promoted to responsibility for Epsilon revenue generation and the growth of the COREiD map in  markets outside the US. Launched Epsilon Media platforms successfully across APAC and MEA. 

Relaunched our market leading Tech platforms in EU delivering best in class Loyalty, CDP, Strategy and Automated Messaging solutions. Now overseeing exponential growth in direct client revenues in multiple markets. 

POC for burgeoning Epsilon / Publicis relationship & personally assisting with Publicis' 20% increase in win rate in UK and International, and development of localised products and GTM in the growth areas of CTV and Retail Media.

Our market leading client acquisition, client retention and account management teams continue to drive exponential logo acquisition and organic growth numbers. Our focus is on empowering our teams to deliver excellence in every interaction internally and externally, and between our clients and their consumers.

Lead commercial teams from first 2 hires to 80  people across Business Development, Client Development, Account Management in the UK. Hires were made almost exclusively from referrals or boomerangs. Generated the first client opportunities by using my network of direct client relationships and channel marketing opportunities. Took responsibility for talking at global events, forming our GTM and executing it.

Took overall responsibility for and returned Conversants' managed service business to strong growth working through UK agencies and with direct clients to deliver data-driven & cross-device performance media campaigns across a  variety of marketing metrics.

ValueClick Media

Head of Agency network sales, with UK and international Opco and Independents - working on inhouse digital media (ValueClick Media), affiliate marketing (Commission Junction) and ad serving (Mediaplex) platforms. Continued to build deep and senior connections across agency groups and was responsible for creating and managing all JBPs

During this period drove a strategy to connecting with new clients to deliver multi-region campaigns leveraging the full technology stack of our group. The largest individual deal generated $16m in revenue.

Personally launched our services in MENA and built a profitable revenue stream with Agency groups there.

Brought in to build direct and intermediary revenue and solve low yield from the original ad network.  Focused on performance marketing and away from being a source of supply.

Created $10m in incremental IYR by creating and taking a new business unit to market that was immediately profitable and delivered consistent revenue streams.

Focused on non-endemic opportunities which meant we consistently over delivered on our growth numbers and I was able to move into management quickly. My role has been to drive the growth of Epsilon from the UK across the EU & APAC, both with Direct brands and large Op-Co's. I have striven to not just achieve this goal but to do it the right way.  I am very focused on achieving 1% improvement every day - By trying to be an inspiring leader, with a clear vision tied to long term plans and highlighting the teams' contribution to those goals. 

I have always thought everyone is capable of more than they believe and if you help people to find their true motivations and calling and align them to the business goals it is possible to build very highly motivated, world class, resilient and agile teams and processes; which business success flows from.

Our UK  business is the growth engine of Epsilon globally. We have seen exponential growth over the last five years significantly outperforming the market. In doing this we have realised the goals of our clients and our team, and had as much fun as possible achieving it!
