A setback can set you up for big success! 

A few years ago I was rejected to work on a project. It was frustrating because I knew I was the best person for the position. 

I was starting to build a network of professionals that I knew was going to be able to help take business to a higher level. 

Fast forward to today, I realize that that specific project was not the best for me. I was not meant to be stuck in an office with “old-school mentalities” running a show. 

I was meant to be open and free to bring together the smartest and most innovative people in business! 💡What I originally thought was a setback was setting me up to be able to advise more people and expand multiple businesses within the past three years. 

I am grateful for the setbacks that have propelled my career. 

This is why I like to give back to someone on LinkedIn daily. I see many people who feel the same way I felt in my past. 

I hope this inspires you today:

An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. When life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means it's going to launch you into something great.

The people who build the largest professional networks seem to have this in common: They don’t just respect  the authorities or superiors in their companies. They make it a habit to respect people from various groups and tend to have a genuine nature to them.

You don’t need to convince anyone of the truth.
The truth reveals itself in time, in results, and in peace.

A young woman recently told me how her business is finally thriving. She had been surrounded by people telling her it would never work.

But instead of arguing, she focused on building. And now? Her success speaks for itself.

I remember when I began growing organically on LinkedIn.

Some marketers tried to take credit for our reach.

But as the numbers grew, so did the clarity our strategy, our team, and our consistency were the real force behind it. This became obvious when the numbers and data revealed the facts. 

Here’s what I’ve learned:

▶️ Stay focused on what you want 

Don’t waste energy defending what’s    already true.

Don’t get distracted by people who doubt what they can’t do themselves.

▶️ An incorrect equation never adds up. Neither does a misaligned business.

▶️ Let your results speak. 

Real wins don’t need PR. When you a powerful source for good on a platform that most people have a challenge on, there will be people who see your value.This value translates across ANY business.

You deserve peace and happiness.

Not everyone will understand your journey, and that’s okay.

Stay focused. 
Stay grounded. 

And always give credit to those who actually helped you grow.

One person can be wrong about you. When I was in my early 20s I was told I was “not experienced enough to make it.” Years later I was told I was “overqualified” to join a team that I wanted to help. They were both wrong. 

The growth that followed revealed the truth. 

Don’t give up when one person has an opinion about you.

If you want more pay, .. observe and connect with people who earn more pay for the position that you desire.

If you want unlimited opportunities from LinkedIn, .. follow, connect, and grow with all the people you come across who have an abundance within their networks on LinkedIn.

One of the biggest mistakes people make is sitting back and thinking the opinion of one person (manager, colleague, or boss) determines their value and potential.

You are not alone. Many people are doubted daily and keep growing and reach beyond their goals.

I don't know who needs to hear this today.. 

but treating your people well is essential in any business. 

I received a message from a young man who was feeling discouraged. He started a position months ago, and said his boss is giving his time and preferential treatment to a new employee who was added to their team recently. 

Every time he asked for a meeting to discuss his ideas, his boss would reschedule and avoid meeting with him. 

But when the newer employee asks for a meeting, he accepts and makes it a priority.

He decided to leave that position and will take all of his ideas with him. He believes it is his boss's loss, because his ideas were very detailed on how to increase their revenues dramatically. He spent days on his presentation (on his free time) and already lined up 36 new clients for their B2B business.

This made me think:

If you are lucky to find a good person who is dedicated to work with you; appreciate them and give them reasons to stay.

When you do this, good things happen:

1. More productivity and loyalty. When employees know that their company cares about them, they care about their company.

2. Better customer interactions. Happy employees tend to show their positive mood when they interact with people.

3. Less turnover. People want to stay where they are accepted and taken care of.

You will find the best and retain the best when treat people well.
Hire people who know how to treat people.
Be that person at work that treats everyone with respect. 

These are simple ways to get ahead in life.

No matter how much is on a resume, people tend to realize over time that it is the people who know how to treat people and who bring people together, who make a difference. 

You get things done and build great things in your career and business, when you know how to treat people.

Treating people fair and with kindness makes a difference.

Giving people respect and credit when it is due are important.

I was rejected a lot when I applied for positions that I was excited about. 

Some people doubted me when I moved to America and when I pivoted to produce a TV series, starting from zero. I was giving up going to law school and I was going to be alone in a very competitive industry.

I finally became a US citizen after five professional work visas and a green card. I got corporate sponsors for several production companies airing shows on national TV.🇺🇸 But people thought I still wasn’t going to make it due to the pandemic shutting down all productions. 

I was told by a former colleague: “You are too small, too young, and not connected enough to make it in this business.”

But God had other plans. 

In 2020, I organically grew a large network on LinkedIn.📈 

I showed up daily and shared what helped me get farther in my career and in life. 

I know what it feels like to feel alone so I showed up for people so they would not feel alone during the pandemic. Some people were feeling depressed so I posted daily for them. A fellow influencer lost her battle with mental health and depression that year; so I decided to be there for as many people as possible.

After networking with more business influencers, I realized I was able to utilize my media and business connections to help other people’s brands reach millions. 

I discovered I was qualified for business development, marketing, and sales positions (🤔the same positions that ignored my applications in the past.)

While some people thought I was “over qualified” I knew that I could help other people’s brands in B2B and B2G.

Some people doubted I was going to be able to get back to business, until they saw the consistent organic growth and successful collaborations and ventures. 🚀

Our growing network allowed me to give a lot of business to independent marketing companies, engineers, developers, and sales teams.

Today, I like to help people achieve their career and business goals. I enjoy the people I get to work with and connect with each day.

This made me think:

GOD WILL PUT YOU IN POSITIONS YOU DID NOT EVEN APPLY FOR. 🙏

I hope you don’t give up on the position that you desire. Anything is possible for you and you are not alone.

Here are five impactful actions that add up to BIG positive change in your life:
☑️ 1. Appreciate and recognize what is unique about each person.

Regularly acknowledging employees’ hard work and contributions can build a strong team. 

Small acts that give people recognition or reward show employees that their efforts matter. 

If someone has something more to offer than the average worker, it is always best to reward them with something “more than average.”


☑️ 2. Provide opportunities to earn more income.

Offer chances for professional development,and empower employees to expand their skills. 

Treat employees the way you will like to be treated if you were in their position. If you have something to give, do not give them the minimum. 

⚠️ One of the biggest mistakes employers make is treating high-performing employees the same as average ones, despite the greater value they bring. ⚠️ If you don’t treat people as “special” they tend to eventually leave and take their special talents and abilities to places that value them. 

It’s essential to recognize and reward extraordinary individuals differently than average performers, especially when the latter don’t bring the same value and contributions as high achievers.


☑️ 3. Be open and honest.

Open communication about company goals and changes builds trust and security. 

When employees feel included in the big picture, they’re more likely to feel motivated and aligned with the organization’s direction.


☑️ 4. Encourage work-life balance.

It is important to smile, laugh, and enjoy life as we work. It is best to respect boundaries, promote flexible hours, and support taking breaks for mental health and wellness. 

When leaders prioritize work-life balance, it shows that they care about their team’s overall quality of life. This  improves peace and productivity.


☑️ 5. Be genuinely supportive.

Being approachable and open to listen creates a safe and supportive environment. 

Employees who feel heard and supported are more likely to be engaged, loyal, and able to bring their best selves to work.



These seemingly small actions help create a positive work culture where employees feel valued.

When you have good people willing to work with you; it’s best to do your best to show how willing you are to work with them. This leads to  loyalty and productivity increases for the entire team.

Here is how to find the right people: 

▶️ They remind you of your worth.

Observe people on LinkedIn. What do they consistently do for people? Their actions and results will show you if they are the right people for you. Same goes for in any workplace. It becomes obvious who is authentic.

A harsh truth:

Not everyone you’re good to will deserve it.

Here is how to spot the wrong people:

1️⃣ They drain you emotionally but never refill your cup.

2️⃣ They treat your kindness like it’s owed to them.

3️⃣ They disappear when you need them most and ONLY show up when they want something from you.

Being a good person isn’t a mistake.

It’s a reflection of your character.

Never regret being a good person to the wrong people.
Your behavior says everything about you, and their behavior says enough about them.
