I’m excited to share that I’ve started a new chapter as a Couples Therapist & Psychotherapist with Elfina Health.

Sometimes all it takes is 25 minutes for someone to realize that stress isn’t just in their head.


Over the last three weeks, I had been facilitating EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) sessions at the BeWell Mental Health Carnival with the teams at HCLTech in Noida and Lucknow. To say it has been overwhelming, in the best possible way, would be an understatement. Moving from one group to another, holding space for many individuals in a short span of time - it has been intense, full, and deeply rewarding.

Each session was just 25 minutes, but those 25 minutes often opened doors to reflections people didn’t expect. We began where most conversations about stress begin - with thoughts.

But as we moved through the tapping process, something deeper started to surface. Participants began noticing:
• the emotions they had been quietly suppressing
• the core unmet needs beneath their stress
• and how tension wasn’t just in their mind - it was also living in their body

One of my favourite moments in these sessions was when participants suddenly paused and said something like, "I didn't realize I was holding this belief about myself."

That’s the quiet magic of EFT. As we tap and regulate the nervous system, limiting beliefs that sit beneath the surface begin to reveal themselves gently, without force. And when the body feels safer, insight follows.

What I love most about facilitating somatic and body-based mental wellbeing workshops is watching people experience this shift in real time.
Not through long explanations, but through direct experience of their own mind-body connection.

Grateful to everyone who showed up with openness and curiosity in both Noida and Lucknow. Your reflections made these sessions far more meaningful than a “demo” could ever capture. Conversations like these are exactly why bringing somatic approaches into workplace wellbeing matters.

Sometimes, the body simply needs a way to speak, and when it does, healing begins 💫

There’s something I keep coming back to in my work with couples - 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗹𝗶𝗲.

We can say “𝘐’𝘮 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘦”, “𝘐’𝘮 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘳𝘺”, “𝘐𝘵 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴𝘯’𝘵 𝘢𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘤𝘵 𝘮𝘦", but the tightened jaw, the shallow breath, the clenched fists tell a very different story.

Lately, I’ve been deepening my reading and reflection on 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗽𝘆, and one idea has stayed with me  - 𝗘𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗻, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆. In fact, research in EFT highlights how emotional experience is inherently somatic that is felt as physiological shifts, sensations, and embodied responses that often precede words.

A simple way I explain this to couples:
𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁𝘀𝗔𝗽𝗽 𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀.
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 “𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗻” 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗺𝗽.
You can type anything, but your body quietly reveals what’s actually active, present, and unresolved. In many of our cultural contexts - where emotional expression is often restrained, indirect, or layered - the body becomes even more honest than language.

In the therapy room, when we begin to slow down and listen to the body (a trembling hand, a softening gaze, a pause in breath), we’re no longer working with stories about emotion,
we’re working with emotion itself.
𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗳𝘁𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻.

I’m attaching a short journal reflection from my recent reading for fellow couples therapists who are curious about integrating somatic work into their practice. What stood out for me was reading about the emergent core themes and how somatic experiencing differs while working with pursuers and withdrawers in different stages of EFCT (Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy).

It was indeed a beautiful space of collective reflection, learning and growth - facilitated by Aayushi Mittal, and supported by all the participants ✨️

Even though I could not continue for the later part of the book, I cherished the safe explorative space where we all could just be authentic, vulnerable, yet hopeful.

For the past 6 months, our Associate Psychologist, Aayushi Mittal had been facilitating the EmoAid Wellness Centre Book Club, where participants journeyed together through the book Why Has Nobody Told Me This Before? by Dr Julie Smith.

With the intention of creating a community space for shared learning, reflection, and conversation around emotional wellbeing, participants came together to explore themes such as low mood, motivation, emotional pain, grief, self-doubt, stress, relationships, meaning, and coping.

More than the topics themselves, what made the space meaningful were the reflections that emerged. Participants moved through the book at their own pace, shared insights from their personal experiences, recognised patterns in their lives, and often found comfort in realising they were not alone in what they were feeling.
