I started Because of Marketing from my bedroom in July 2020 because I was obsessed with understanding how marketing captures our attention.

Five years later, that curiosity has grown into a global marketing media publication with a community and following of over 750,000 and 60 million organic impressions annually across the US, UK and Australia.

As I build Because of Marketing, I share my story, break down the marketing campaigns that catch my attention, and discuss the latest marketing news and trends. 

Outside of business, I'm a proud advocate for the Lewy Body Society and Alzheimer Scotland, having raised over £17,000 in the past 10 years to support their vital work.

Hey, I'm Phoebe, a Marketing and Events Manager. 👋🏼

Having studied Fashion Communication at Uni (whilst trying to survive my third year in the middle of the pandemic), and being a bit of a social butterfly, I knew I had a passion for communication and marketing.

During the pandemic, I grabbed my first chance of marketing as an intern for a start-up sportswear company and dived straight into the deep end - trusted to build and train up a small team of marketers all on my own 🫣 but it was the most amazing opportunity...

Until I had to leave and go back to my final year of university. 

That is when I found Fabric Academy - a marketing training platform which taught me the three fundamental pillars of building a marketing strategy which I used to drive my final year projects.

I completed the programme and secured a First at University with the help of everything I’d learned. I instantly KNEW a career in marketing was for me 🥰

Half a year later, I successfully bagged myself a job at the very place I discovered my passion for marketing, Fabric. 

Since May 2022, I’ve been building an online community of ambitious and determined marketers from managers, graduates and young professionals with the aim of transforming marketers of the future.

Oh, and a few extra things I do on the side of this:

💗 Create impactful campaigns across all digi that educate and give value to a community of marketers
📊 Track, measure, and report performance of all digital campaigns
🥰 Create content that talks directly to our target audience of ambitious marketers across all digital platforms
🎥 Plan, project manage and execute both in-person and virtual events
