In Ingersoll Rand I work as part of OEDP (Operational Excellence Deployment Plan). OEDP is an extensively worked out, enterprise level plan to deploy Operational Excellence as a strategic tool to achieve Premier Performance. A3 thinking is solely used to communicate, work upon and achieve organization goals, solve business problems, integrate efforts, prepare strategic work plan, use in Value Stream Analysis & Rapid Improvements.

My work as a Value Stream Change Agent involves-

1) Facilitate Value Stream Analysis Events and see with the team on achieving Cycle time reduction which in turn helps achieve Share Growth which gives Leverage in terms of Costs & Employee Engagement
2) Facilitate Rapid Improvement Events in which team members come together for 4.5 days and work out solutions in one focus area which establishes Flow Cell while getting rid of muda, muri, mura
3) Facilitate productivity improvement projects
4) Calculate, ratify and report the metrics after Confirmed State upon completion of Events. Prepare plant scorecard, update Event documentation on Sharepoint, publish Kaizen Articles
5) Train personnel in A3 thinking, lean tools, problem solving approach
6) Work with the teams to achieve improvements in key business metrics for Premier Performance

The Kohler Company is a manufacturing company in Kohler, Wisconsin best known for its plumbing products. Kohler also manufactures furniture, cabinetry, tile, engines, and generators.

I worked at their Vitreous China plant in Jhagadia, India. My main objective was to run continuous improvement drives across all manufacturing and support functions using tools like Kaizen, Lean manufacturing, six sigma. We trained batches of managers and executives in Manufacturing Academy-1 and then acted as facilitator with each cross functional team applying these learning with a project in key-concern areas. 

In addition to these running monthly Kaizen events helped with generating savings, better workplace organization, higher associate engagement.

Senior Engineer in Kohler Operating System

Anchor Panasonic

Anchor is one of world's largest manufacturers of switches and accessories suiting a wide range of applications and business sectors. Switches, however is part of Wiring Devices, a mfg. division among other divisions such as Wires and Cables, Fans, Lighting and Luminaries, MCB and RCCBs, Home Automation. 

At Anchor, I worked as Assistant Manager, Industrial Engineering for their Wiring Devices division at Daman, India. I functionally and administratively report to DGM, Production.

Achievements in Anchor-

1)	Development and establishing of standard times and productivity calculation across 6 product lines. Improvement in productivity by 21% in 6 months
2)	Implementing of Kaizen, lean projects to have cost saving- Average of 1.0 MINR per month across 28 different projects
3)	Capacity expansion projects across 3 product lines, Investment of about 120 MINR on area of 3000 sq. m. Completed in 6 months
4)	Quality circle project. Saving of consumption of raw material in compression molding, resulted in saving 6 MINR in one year
5)	Formed an IE team where two associates joined and reported to me. Provided training to supervisors on Lean and Kaizen for over 500 man-hrs

I got relocated to Areva T&D, Vadodara and was involved with world class single piece assembly flow lines and bench marking business processes for its new world class manufacturing facilities for medium voltage switchgears. It is five times the scale of its Kolkata facilities with unflinching focus on innovation, customer satisfaction, standardized processes and work methods 

Established 4 industrial assembly lines in line to lean manufacturing and global standards of product flow and facilities in just 6 months.

Industrial Engineer

I worked at Areva T&amp;D India at Kolkata for over 3 years and helped set up single piece assembly flow lines and work standards, internal material logistic, technology transfer among others &gt;&gt; Nov 2005- Feb 2009

I was then involved with reconstruction project which made a 70% increase in the available industrial floor space and a new world standard office. I made significant contribution for new layout preparation, implementing at Speed for the interim moves through which we had no production loss while going ahead with construction project. All facilities provision, allocating space as per layout, major industrial purchases with profitable negotiation were a few things that made work interesting.

It is beyond just getting a product sold but to take the extra journey of making sure we are connected with the users till the end of product/service cycle.

I lead teams to establish, manage and improve Operations to deliver exemplary quality, JIT delivery and at prices that are sustainable. I use my learning and experiences with Lean, TOC and Six sigma to generate value for the organization. That's about it.
