Business Analyst

As a continuation of my ongoing role at Add Then Multiply, my skills were required full-time. With my increased experience, I am given more responsibility and client-facing tasks. It is now not uncommon for me to lead projects.

The majority of my time is spent developing resourced to help clients in M&A transactions. Primarily investor / acquirer research and financial modelling. On occasion I also analyse company finances to provide reports to top management that point to discrepancies in their financials. Lastly, I am also required to learn and help prepare documents for a US listed firm.

Having been taught about financial modelling during my intern role, I spent time developing and implementing a great many new features to automate features. The outcome is a highly efficient spreadsheet which has significantly cut the time required to make it, as well as a clearer design which has improved the user experience. This continually evolving spreadsheet has helped SMEs raise millions in various forms of funding.

Aside from the financial modelling, I lend a hand in pitch deck creation and investor research, and I've gained a good understanding of the whole fundraising journey.

In October, my University had an Industry Day event. I asked if I could introduce one of the speakers but due to my late request all spaces were taken up. The next day I was told another speaker was coming and I was welcome to introduce them. With 2 days preparation, I made the most impactful 30 second speech I could and delivered it on the day, introducing David Horne. He seemed to like my style and handed me a signed copy of his book inscribed "Look forward to exploring with you" and his business card. After several meetings (dinners / teas) we agreed to co-author a book. He later asked me if I'd intern with him. I've now been part of the epic 3 member team at Add Then Multiply working with some awesome clients on some extremely cool projects.

I interned here to help develop various financial and sales documents in preparation for a fundraising round. This included several financial projections ranging from conservative to ambitious, risk management, a current valuation, a projected valuation, and a sales forecast report.

PetInstincts is a start-up solving dog seperate on anxiety and loneliness by providing an in-home monitoring and pet entertainment device.
