Same hardware. Same specs. Your provider choice determines a 1.5x to 2x price difference.

The gap is what comes with it.

Vast.ai at $1.53/hr is marketplace spot pricing. No SLA. Variable reliability. Interruptions with 30-second to 2-minute notices. You're buying raw compute with zero guarantees.

CoreWeave at $2.06/hr comes with 95%+ GPU availability guarantees, 24/7 support, compliance certifications, and dedicated infrastructure.

Both are rational prices for different risk profiles.

The H100 SXM market is the tightest I'm tracking. 1.95x spread. Compare that to B200 at 3.2x (or 5.7x if you include Oracle's $14.20/hr outlier).

The bigger question here isn't which provider is cheapest, but whether the cost of an interruption is worth the savings.

Yesterday I posted the H100 SXM pricing ladder. Today: H200.


31 providers sell the NVIDIA H200. 

Price range: $1.80/hr to $10.14/hr.

Same Hopper architecture as H100. But 141GB HBM3e vs 80GB HBM3. That extra VRAM means a 70B model fits on one GPU instead of two.

7.2x spread.

$3.39/hr median.

Here's a snapshot of the ladder:

Same chip. Different VRAM config. Your provider choice determines up to a 7.2x price difference relative to the cheapest on the market.

The spread tells you something about market maturity.

H100 SXM has a 1.95x spread across 20 providers. Tight market. Known commodity.

H200 has a 7.2x spread across 31 providers. Wider variance. Still finding equilibrium.

The H100 median also sits at$2.10/hr vs the H200 median of $3.39/hr. 

That's a median 61% pricing premium for 76% more VRAM (80GB vs 141GB). Better value per GB.

That means that at $1.80/hr (Taiga Cloud) vs $1.53/hr (Vast.ai - cheapest H100), you're paying 18% more per hour but potentially cutting your GPU count in half for large inference workloads.

But the inference market is still immature, and the H200 is still finding it's price as we transition away from training.

The 7.2x spread vs H100 SXM's 1.95x tells you providers are still figuring out who's willing to pay for VRAM and who's chasing the floor. Give it six months. This spread will tighten.

SHARON AI just went public on 432 GPUs and three customers.


That's not a typo. The Australian neocloud priced its Nasdaq IPO at $30 per share this week, raising $125M in gross proceeds. The prospectus is a window into the economic guts of the smaller neoclouds.

And a stark reminder of just how early we really are in this market.

The all-flash consensus is underwater.


Enterprise SSD prices jumped 53-58% in Q1 2026. NAND flash contracts rose 55-60%. 

TrendForce called both records for quarterly increases.

The cause is structural, not cyclical. 

AI inference demand has outstripped storage supply. Memory manufacturers are shifting NAND production lines to DRAM, where margins are fatter. North American hyperscalers are stockpiling. Short-term capacity tightness is "difficult to resolve."

The economics made sense when NAND was cheap, and capacity was abundant - neither assumption still holds.

The organisations locked into all-flash architectures are now exposed.

One storage company saw this coming.
