When you get this right:

When you get it wrong, you’re just another “passionate entrepreneur helping businesses succeed.”

Challenge:
Look at your headline.
If someone from your ideal client profile saw it, would they immediately think:
“This person can help me”?

If not, you know what to fix.

Most people think viral posts are luck. They’re not. Here’s what makes a post travel:

The Hook
You’re competing with the scroll. Start with:
→ Bold insight, number, or question
→ Something that makes people stop
→ Create curiosity in the first 2 lines

White Space
Short lines = engagement.
→ Break up paragraphs
→ Create rhythm for readability
→ Give the reader room to breathe

A Real Moment
People trust experience over expertise.
→ Share a personal story or lesson
→ Make it human, not perfect
→ Show vulnerability or growth

One Clear Takeaway
Value isn’t volume.
→ Focus on one actionable idea
→ Keep it simple, no clutter
→ Give them something to use today

Emotion
Posts get shared when they make people feel:
→ Inspired, challenged, or validated
→ Uncomfortable but thoughtful
→ Connected to the story being told

Credibility
Show, don’t tell.

The real truth:
You don’t need a big audience to go viral. You need clarity. One well-crafted post can outperform months of random posting.

Three months ago, a creator came to me frustrated.

Not because LinkedIn wasn’t working.

But because it was.

High reach.
Consistent engagement.
Growing follower count.

Yet every win felt… empty.

She said something I hear way too often:

“People know my content.
But they don’t know me.”

I met the 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗶 - R C Bhargava.
I asked him - why does Maruti pay less salary to its top management?
His answer changed how I thought about money.


Before answering he asked me the same question...

Nikhil, why do you think CEOs of top tech companies draw a salary of 100 crores a year?

I said - maybe because the CEO is the most irreplaceable person so they deserve it...

He smiled and said,

Why 100 crores
Why not 10 crores or 5 crores
What is actually wrong in making a few less crores

I did not have a convincing answer.

Then he said something that completely reframed how I think about leadership and compensation.

Why should a handful of people at the top take so much when that same money could meaningfully improve the lives of the people who actually keep the company running.

And then he explained Maruti’s thinking.

We do not believe wealth should only move upward. We believe success should be shared with the people on the shop floor in plants in logistics in service who create that success every day.

When it comes to distributing wealth, you should always think about the last employee in the organisation. The more you are able to think about distribution the more likely you are to build a long running institution, sharing profits with them consistently is the best way to keep them along. 

I am not against CEOs being paid well.

But if a company cannot explain why one person needs 100 crores, maybe it is not building an institution, maybe they like having the most money at the top.


And that was a story for today.

India didn’t learn scale from Ambani or Adani first.
It learned it from a man most people have never heard of.
I'm talking about Dinshaw. Vo nahi hote to iss desh ki neev nahi hoti.

Back in the 1930s, Indian cement wasn’t an industry.
It was a street fight.

Eleven rival companies.
Eleven egos.
Eleven factories pushing cement into a market that didn’t want it.

So prices collapsed.
Quality became a joke.
And “desi cement” turned into a punchline engineers avoided.

British imports were expensive.
But at least they were trusted.

That was the real problem.
Not capacity.
Credibility.

And then one Bombay financier looked at the chaos and said something that sounded almost naive.

If we don’t move together, none of us moves forward.

That man was Framroze Edulji Dinshaw.

He wasn’t trying to build a monopoly.
He was trying to build a standard.

He went to industrial families who were used to competing, and pitched a different kind of win.

Stop bleeding each other.
Start building the country.

In 1936, eleven cement companies across groups like Tata, Khatau, Killick Nixon, and the F. E. Dinshaw group came together to form what became ACC.

A single backbone for a fragmented industry.

Here’s the twist.

Dinshaw didn’t even get to see the machine he designed fully come to life.
He passed away just months before ACC was formally incorporated.

Leadership moved on.
The board was stacked with some of India’s sharpest minds.

And ACC didn’t just sell cement.
It quietly became part of India’s physical memory.

Dams.
Bridges.
Expressways.
Marine Drive.

The kind of infrastructure that outlives headlines.

Decades later, the company scaled again.
Revenues expanded.
Operations consolidated.

And in 2022, ACC became part of the Adani Group.

Today, it’s still massive.

Big output.
Big workforce.
And a reputation that has survived multiple eras of Indian business.

But I keep coming back to the original lesson.

Sometimes the boldest move isn’t to compete harder.

It’s to collaborate first.

If Dinshaw could convince 11 rivals to stop fighting and start building…

It's winter and I cannot stop myself from eating chikkis. I know a person who sells 20+ lakhs chikkis daily at ₹5. I wonder if the quality is good. 

His name is Raju Bhupati, founder of Troo.Good.

His father treated the poor for free. That shaped everything Raju would build.

After years in IT, Raju launched Hello Curry in 2012—a cloud kitchen that taught him food systems. But it had a ceiling: fresh food can't reach villages. By 2017, he knew what he needed: shelf-stable nutrition at ₹5.

Most founders would accept malnutrition as inevitable at that price. Raju asked differently: What if the ingredient itself was the solution?

He found millets. Indigenous. Economical as wheat. Nutritionally superior. Lower water usage than rice (800L vs 4,500L per kg). Perfect.

With food scientists, he created millet chikki—addressing anaemia, night blindness, stunted growth in children. Culturally familiar. Affordable. Nutritious.

September 2018: Demand exploded from 100kg to 5,000kg daily overnight.

Lesser founders outsource. Raju refused. He sent teams to remote villages, negotiated factory spaces, built three plants in 15 days. Today: 5 facilities. 2 million chikkis daily.

Why This Works

80% of workers are women from self-help groups—not interchangeable labor, but mission owners.

15,000 farmers contracted directly—no middlemen. Vertical integration lets him maintain margins and quality and employment simultaneously.

Result: ₹100 crore trajectory (from ₹53 crore). Bootstrapped. Values-driven.

The Impact Beyond Numbers

24 billion litres of water conserved through millet promotion. Nutrition supplied to Anganwadis across 5 states. Farmer incomes transformed.

From leaving US job to helping the less privileged get access to the best food, this is the story of Raju.

Two wealth manager prospects showed up. 
Same service, completely different people.
First one told us: "Make a post about how we help our clients make more money."
