Before starting Paramark, I spent the last decade leading growth and marketing teams at fast-growing companies like Dropbox, Pilot, Magento, and BILL.

During that period, we evaluated hundreds of martech tools and, for the most part, were sorely disappointed. Here's why. We found few solutions that could handle the needs of fast-growing marketing teams. They were either incomplete, hard to use, or claiming things that were just flat-out wrong!

This trend is especially true for marketing analytics. Synthesizing and analyzing marketing data to understand effectiveness should be a solved problem. After speaking to hundreds of marketing leaders at some of the fastest growing companies, I was honestly surprised that the truth is far from it. Understanding and communicating the return on marketing investment continues to be one of the top challenges for marketers.

That's why we decided to build Paramark. Our goal is to help fast-growing marketing teams measure and forecast the impact of their investments, unlocking sustainable growth.

2026 is going to be another BIG A## YEAR.

This box landed at my door this week and it feels like the perfect final note to this year. (And h/t to Jesse Itzler and his team for an exceptional product and experience!)

2025 showed up with more joy, more service, more connection, and more bright spots than I ever could’ve planned:
  ↳ new rooms
  ↳ new friends
  ↳ deeper conversations
  ↳ people helping each other in ways that actually matter
  ↳ moments that stayed with me long after they happened

Somewhere in the middle of ALL that, #opentohelp stopped being something I scheduled… and started being something people FELT.

That’s the part I want to grow.

So the Big A## calendar?
It’s not about filling every square.

It’s about making room for: 
  ↳ good humans
  ↳ meaningful conversations
  ↳ momentum that makes life feel bigger and brighter
  ↳ helping more people help more people

Here’s what clicked for me as I hung it up: I want to spend more of 2026 in more rooms that care about service, connection, leadership, generosity, and joy.

And yes, I still have a full-time marketing leadership role with a mission I love... work that is growing and evolving in all the best ways.

And alongside it, I’m building the #opentohelp movement into something that can reach far more people than I can one-on-one.

To do that, I need to get in front of the communities that are already leaning into this kind of work.

Every night before bed, my daughter asks for her "nightmare shield."

I wave my hands over her like a wizard.
Whistle/hum something halfway between a lullaby and a dialup signal.
"Apply" her invisible "nightmare shield."
And she laughs herself to sleep.

It started accidentally one night after a nightmare. 
And now it’s a nightly bedtime ritual.
A quiet promise that she’s safe.

And now every Veterans Day, I think about the people who’ve made that promise possible.

The ones who have put themselves between danger and home.
Who have carried fear so our kids don’t have to.
Who have faced very real nightmares so ours can stay imaginary.

Their courage doesn’t always look cinematic.
Sometimes it looks like peace.
Like my daughter under her "nightmare shield."

To every Veteran: THANK YOU. Truly.
For shielding the rest of us in ways we’ll never see or understand.

Most of us know the truth is a lot simpler.
