I would like to think that people will remember me as a nice bloke, who did nice things.

And those nice things are:

- Talking. Think Radio, TV, Events, Podcasts, Lecturing, etc.
- Charity. No one has ever become poor from giving.
- Birmingham. I'm proud to consistently champion this city.

And those nice things were:

- Marketing. Web, digital, social media.
- Law. I genuinely still can't believe that I was an actual lawyer.
- Consultancy. Non-Exec. Board Member. Advisor.

And I've done a lot more bits and bobs.

My main focus currently is:

Radio and broadcasting with the BBC.
Hosting and public speaking through my own business.
And charity (which will always be voluntary).

Focus point for Insurance Reporting and Claims, with overall objective to manage these proactively, liaising with the relevant personnel and suppliers to minimise cost impact to the business.

Coordination of the data on site and ensuring the interrogation of anomalies is completed to an acceptable standard

Liaising with both internal and external suppliers with regard to KPI and performance management information.

Overseeing customer queries in relation to all aspects of the business

Responsible for the successful resolution of queries and the communication back to the customer

Co-ordination of all communication to customer, own fleet and haulier’s, achieved through liaison with various third party companies at all levels within their businesses

Understanding of all delivery data at line level to drive internal and customer reporting

KPI Management and the challenge of any non-achievement of these

Working as part of the Transport Planning and Operational Team to ensure that all of the customer needs were met

Responsible for all day to day operations of a busy hotel, this included managing a team of 68 People across all functions Housekeeping, janitorial and Reception

Management of budgets, accounts, and reports

Sign off of the payroll and stock replenishments processes to ensure that these were in line with expectations and budget

Use of standard and in house computer systems to update reports, allocation of budgets for each department and approving all expenditures

To ensure that the high standards of service of the hotel is maintained throughout departments and is reflected in the comments made by my customers

Hold regular staff meetings, one to one and group sessions to understand the concerns of the wider team and how to keep everyone motivated to achieve the goals of the hotel

Conduct interviews when employing new staff

Liaise with external hotels, agencies and other business to ensure the continued success for the business I was running

Attend and present my business results at regular meetings with Area Manager
