Following the merger of Artesian Solutions and DueDil ltd, I became the Chief Technology Officer for the combined business, now FullCircl, leading the integration of the two platforms into one consistent product.

I lead the Product, Technology, and InfoSec functions that support and evolve the Product according to our clients' needs and expectations. We do that by meeting the strict regulations of our industry while making sure it's being built and delivered through a world-class technology.

Adevinta

Adevinta is a spin-off of Schibsted Media Group. I led six international multi-disciplinary teams for a total headcount of over 100 professionals distributed over 5 countries.

The focus of the Content Area is to analyse, store, process, and serve content data coming from Adevinta's 30+ Marketplaces, spread across 16 countries, in the following areas:
 * Ad content extraction, storage and transformation. Image analysis, recognition and classification through the use of Deep Learning
 * Personalised content and search result, using Machine Learning
 * Fraud detection, using a combination of static analysis, Machine Learning, and human interaction

In this role, I had the opportunity to develop and apply extensive Change Management and Organisational change skills. It included handling layoffs, creating a new Hub in Paris and hiring about 40 Engineers and Managers while handling the transfer of operations from the previous hubs. The project was successful with no loss of quality, knowledge or impact on the value we brought to the company.

Director of Engineering - Marketplaces Global Components / Content Area

Schibsted Media Group

I led a multi-disciplinary team of 25 Software Engineers and Data Scientists that provide User Segmentation to various parts of the Schibsted business, from display Ads to reporting and insights to anti-fraud systems.
I have driven the process of reallocating the team under a new business unit to have the most significant impact and define the current vision and mission for the next 3 to 5 years. I'm also in charge of hiring, budgeting and third-party vendor management.
The system is highly scalable and consists of about 30 microservices deployed on over a hundred instances, written in Scala and Python, and several Spark modelling pipelines. It processes batch and real-time events with an end-to-end latency of fewer than 3 seconds and serves segmented data at a rate of 10k requests/sec in less than 2ms response time.

Engineering Leader - Audience Targeting Engine (ATE)

I led the development of the most significant feature of the year, Browsing History Attribute Targeting, overseeing the whole project from gathering requirements to UX, data science and engineering implementation, to the final product delivery. I’ve also led an effort to reduce the AWS cost by 30%, identifying the most valuable actions and orchestrating the execution across multiple teams.

Senior Engineering Manager

I have joined Schibsted as a part of a team building a POC for multi-purpose Anti-Fraud system. I created the system using Scala, Akka, Twitter Bootstrap and Cassandra on the AWS cloud, mentoring other developers and advocating the adoption of those tools.
When the POC was completed, I moved to the Audience Targeting Engine (ATE) team, leading the adoption of the technologies that proved successful while building the previous system, and the design and development of the most critical new features.

The Peerius motto is “The trusted partner for personalisation and recommendations”. I've worked in the Backend team, providing support for the user tracking system and recommendation engine. The main areas I've contributed to are:
* Improved the performances of real-time analysis. It involved structural refactoring of the communication/integration level and the refactor the Cassandra schema.
* Migrated the existing queuing system ActiveMQ to RabbitMQ to improve performances and stability.
* Mentored junior/mid-level Scala developers and promoting techniques such as TDD/BDD and agile methodologies.
* Introduced code review. The process involved evaluating multiple tools and eventually choosing, setting up the tool, and defining the basic rules within the team to resolve conflicts.

Which? is a charity and Consumers'​ Association. His goal is to promote informed consumer choice in the purchase of goods and services, by testing products, highlighting inferior products or services, raising awareness of consumer rights and offering independent advice.

I've been working in the Backend team, providing support for the old Java stack and developing new microservices APIs, using Scala, MongoDB, Elasticsearch. 
Played the ad-interim role of Data Architect and built several internal tools using Play! and MongoDB to automate XML data analysis of several feeds coming from different sources and reusing existing XSLT procedures.
Played an active role in the Architectural Meetings by giving advice and directions on architecture and on tools/languages/frameworks both within the Scala and Ruby stack.
Proposed and built a POC using Docker, Zookeeper and Play! for future developments.
Mentored junior Scala developers and promoting techniques such as TDD/BDD and agile methodologies
My most important achievement was to improve the current platform reducing by a factor of 70% the data import time while making it more reliable.

Design of a Datawarehouse of the Local Authorities aimed at analyzing data (real
estate assets, tax receipts, local tax statements IMU / TARSU / TIA) and
simulations of the expected tax revenue using Oracle as a ROLAP engine and
Pentaho (Mondrian) to the interfaces of analysis.
