I started Curvy Girlz Lingerie, after winning the 1st place of the 2013 Black Enterprise Elevator Pitch, sponsored by PepsiCo. With motivation, mindset, and passion I presented my business pitch and turned into an entrepreneur seeking to attend the market need of full-figured divas and plus-size fashionistas like me: to have a number of lingerie choices, fresh, sensual and stylish that makes us feel unique. 

The company also hosted various successful house party experiences throughout New York and had stylists located across the country. 

★ Key Initiatives & achievements:

➜ Set up the company and grew business to become the #1 NYC-based online plus-size lingerie boutique experience for curvy girls in the Northeast.
➜ Devised an effective online sales strategy which generated revenue in excess of $300,000 in less than 5 years.

Toxic Love

Toxic Love featured on QPTV was a program hosted by Precious L. Williams. It focused on domestic violence, with the purpose of creating educational content, and information in order to prevent abuse. 

Domestic violence is a key topic for me since it is also related to my personal message and need to empower others. My motivation to produce and host the show was also rooted in my own life experiences; my father was a domestic violence victim. For me, Toxic Love was an opportunity to use media to educate the audience on how to recognize abusive situations, understand why we generate dependency on others, and finally heal our self-esteem and vision of life.

➜ Performed in-depth research on domestic violence topics that facilitated speaking extemporaneously and provided immediate non-scripted analysis/commentary.
➜ Created and prepared communication strategy, including written content, visual images, audio material and video footage for social media platforms and show.
➜ Designed, developed, and hosted talk shows that addressed domestic violence education and prevention including “Unlikely Victims,” “Crippled and Crushed,” Financial Crimes,” and “Words Hurt Too.”

➜ Partnered with the City of New York’s former Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s Office on Domestic Violence Prevention programs.

This experience was highly rewarding, and gave me the inspiration to continue with my women empowerment passion.
