My role extended to conducting both virtual and face-to-face interviews to ensure the quality of potential hires before submission to clients. 

Orchestrating interview arrangements and negotiating for improved candidate salaries were integral aspects of my responsibilities. 

Emphasising the power of marketing, I executed impactful email marketing campaigns through platforms like Instantly and leveraged the reach of social media channels such as Facebook, Google Shorts, TikTok, Instagram, and LinkedIn. 

Recognising the pivotal role of SEO optimisation, I fine-tuned the agency's website for enhanced visibility. 

Furthermore, I contributed to content marketing through blog writing for the website and LinkedIn newsletter, maintaining and updating the main website to stay current and competitive. 

The extensive focus on marketing insights led to the realisation that organisations could benefit significantly from leveraging marketing in candidate searches, prompting a strategic shift from the recruitment agency to the establishment of a personal branding agency.

On a random December morning, I get a LinkedIn DM
“It would be interesting to hear your marketing plan”.

I thought, “who is this man?”
Turns out, I’d sent him a cold message in October.

Anyways, I jumped on a call with him.
He checked out my past work.
Offered me a trial week.

LOVED my work.
And hired me.

Currently, I am a

→ Social media manager

Basically, 5+ roles neatly packed into 1 role.

I know it sounds a bit stressful.
But I LOVE being a marketing generalist.

I felt lonely in the LinkedIn world of adults.

I whined about it for a few months.
And then, I launched the programme!

The goal?
To empower students to build their personal brands on LinkedIn.

The first cohort is free.
And it’s 5 ‘kids’ strong.
Each cohort will last for 12 weeks.

I host weekly and 1 on 1 sessions.
My DMs are always open for 24/7 support.

I share EVERYTHING  I learn from my personal branding journey.
I was never very good at keeping secrets. 

After every session, the kids fill out a feedback form.
And my average rating is around 4.9/5

I am not a guru. I am on the same LinkedIn journey like the kids.
And that boosts my rating!

In April, I plan to launch the second cohort.

If all goes according to plan,

I was a lost kid.

I didn’t know what career to pursue.
HR? Finance? Marketing? 

I was like a 5 year old at a candy store.

But a CEO thought I’d be a decent marketer.
That’s how I got my first marketing role.

Alongside uni, I worked for £7 an hour.
And fell in love with marketing (around Valentine’s Day).
