Hot take: You don't have to pick a side.

I've been using ChatGPT for over 3 years and Claude since it launched.
I love both.

I also use Perplexity, Google NotebookLM, and Notion daily.

The fear mongering and hysteria right now about "everyone switching to Claude" is unnecessary.

These are tools.
You wouldn't use a hammer for every job in your workshop, so why would you rely on a single AI for everything?

Tool stacking is the move.
Each platform has strengths, and the smartest thing you can do is learn how to use the right tool for the right task.

For female founders, here’s what that really means.

You use ChatGPT every day...

But, if you don’t know how to structure AI…
You will create more noise, not more clarity.

I see this every week.

Brilliant women using ChatGPT to rewrite emails.

Helpful? Yes.

Strategic? No.

The real shift is this:
Move from rewriting to decision support.

Instead of:
“Summarise this.”

Try:
“Act as my operations advisor. Extract revenue opportunities. Rank follow-ups. Flag risks.”

Same tool.

Completely different level of thinking.

I say to my students:
AI isn’t a mind reader.
It doesn’t know what drives your revenue.
It doesn’t know what you prioritise.
It doesn’t know what you ignore.

Unless you tell it.

And when you do?

It becomes:
 – your ops brain
 – your strategy brain
 – your commercial lens

On demand.

Calm.

Clear.

Not chaotic.

In 2026, you’re not competing with AI.

You’re competing with founders who know how to direct it.

So I’ll ask you this -

I saw a stat this morning that stopped me in my tracks.
76% of small businesses are already using or planning to use AI.

And my gut response wasn't "great news."

It was... but are they actually getting anywhere with it?

Because here's what I'm seeing every single week.

Smart, capable people, paying for tools they opened once, felt a bit lost, and quietly closed again. 
Not because they're not clever enough. 
Not because AI isn't useful.

But because nobody ever showed them how it actually works.

There's a difference between having access to AI and knowing what to do with it.

Salesforce put it plainly this year - AI literacy, not AI access, is now the thing that separates businesses that grow from ones that don't.

And I thought... yeah. That's exactly it.

I've had people in sessions this week who've been using ChatGPT for two years and didn't know half of what it could do. 

One person said to me, "I feel like I've wasted so much time."

They hadn't. 
They just hadn't had the foundations explained properly yet.

That's not a tool problem.

That's a literacy problem.

And it's fixable. 
Genuinely, it's fixable. 
In less time than most people think.

So if you're quietly winging it with AI right now, you're not behind. 

You just haven't had the right starting point yet.
