10 lessons for anyone interested in building a business: 

1. You do not need a pioneering business idea/eureka moment. 
2. You do not need genius IQ. It's all about action. 
3. Your ideas, plans, goals, vision etc mean very little. 
4. Find a co-founder. 
5. A sustainable co-founder relationship = healthy competition with the ability to roast each other unapologetically.
6. Make growth plays. Don't coast. 
7. Growth comes from big bets, not polishing the edges. 
8. The arrival fallacy is real; problems never disappear, they just evolve, and become more painful and frequent as the business grows. 
9. Build things with intrinsic value that also reinforce other parts of the business.
10. To reiterate, disciplined action and output is everything. You can't talk, think or feel your way through things - just execute, ship fast, learn and grow.

With over 30 years of experience in sales, marketing and training, I love helping organisations to grow whilst holding onto their values. 

I'm a certified AI Trainer and implementation consultant, working locally (Moray) and remotely to build AI capabilities in values-driven organisations. 

I'm happiest when looking at the bigger picture, joining up the dots and empowering those leading growth in their organisations. I always have my eye on growth - whether we are looking at building AI capabilities or reviewing your business development plans. 

I also love walking my lively dog, swimming in the sea and exploring the natural wonders of Moray, Scotland where I live with my family.    

My Story: 

When I was 15, my dad ran a telemarketing agency and taught me how to sell over the phone. I've enjoyed a long career in sales, marketing and partnerships development across all sectors. After a couple of false starts, I am very proud to have built a thriving ethical business as a trainer and consultant.

I built my business from the ground up with no funding, just lots of hard graft. I live in Moray in Scotland, love sea swimming all year round and spending time with my two girls.
