😍 RIDDLE me THIS: an AI-Junkie uses AI to generate 10 smutty Romance novels. He doesn't proofread or edit. He simply copy/pastes and self-publishes them on Amazon under his own name. Lo and behold, in one of them, the AI generated inappropriate graphic material involving minors. This is illegal. 

First question: who is accountable for that illegal material?
Second question: shouldn't it be the author of the material?
Third question: if so, WHO can be determined as the author of the material?
Fourth question: if you answer "the human" that human might rebut that he never even saw that material, he never read it, he never asked for it, he never wrote it. (Maybe he can even use AI prompt history to prove it.)

If he makes such a defense, how could he be the author?
How could one be the author of material they never read, wrote, edited or wanted?

People like to wax eloquent about how someone creating content with AI is just as much a writer as someone who actually writes as humans have for millennia. That the content is as much "theirs" as someone who sits down and writes a magnum opus from the mind and heart. But the whole discussion changes once you introduce consequences and accountability into the equation.

If there is ANY lee-way given in such a legal case as I have described, it necessarily indicates that generating content with AI isn't even in the same universe as human-produced content.
