During employment at my local Waitrose Supermarket I worked as a supermarket Assistant in the Fresh section. I worked as part of a team to ensure stock on the shop floor and in the warehouse was managed effectively. Most of my time was spent in the Fruit and Vegetable section and I was also till trained, so could assist in operating the tills when the store was particularly busy. Rotation of stock was the biggest priority, ensuring that newer produce was placed behind older produce.

I undertook a two week work experience placement at the National Oceanography Center in Southampton. Over the course of two weeks I shadowed members of staff to gain an insight to what goes on at the center. I was shown around the Labs and Research Vessel, carrying out a wide range of activities. I also undertook a group project which involved researching remote operated submersibles and presenting our findings to members of staff.
