◾️	Lead capital and opex programs to drive key operational and quality metrics including: Tech Availability, DOJ Tech & Order Support, Repeat Rates M1 Churn, Time in Home and NPS, Customer Experience & Install Quality

◾️	Develop requirements for new products and product enhancements based on field, customer insights & NPS data

◾️	Manage field launch of new products, development of install processes and quality controls for professionally installed XH products to drive improved customer experience, NPS and truck roll & call reduction 

Key Achievements:
◾️	DROVE QUALITY & REDUCED CHURN: Designed new metrics, led and nationally launched updates to the installation verification score (IVS 2.0) run on every install, utilizing a structured change management approach.
◽️	Reduced M1 Churn by 50 bps and drove 65% increase in mobile app downloads on day of job
◽️	68% improvement in sensor signal strength quality on new installs, reducing M1 Calls & Truck Rolls

▪	Internal business consultant working with executive leaders to drive large scale growth & opex reduction programs

▪	Led matrixed & cross-functional teams focused on strategic process, functional and organizational changes and transformational improvements contributing to deliver over $21.5M in hard savings in 2016 and projected $120M.

▪	Led, co-facilitated and participated in over 12 Kaizen and Lean Six Sigma workshops

Key Achievements:
◾️	TRANSFORMATIONAL PROCESS IMPROVEMENT: Transformation program lead to reduce $1B of WIP to over $400M and intervals from 229 days to 69 days, involving over 8 functional organizations.
◽️	Lead one program pillar and 5 key solution teams to re-engineer project creation, engineering milestones, automation, triggers and KPI’s to reduce +60 days in process time and $16.1M in hard savings.
◽️	Completed complex financial and operational analyses used to develop the strategy, scope and benefits of this large scale executive sponsored initiative.

◾️	DEVICE QUALITY MANAGEMENT: Successfully led a DMAIC program to create and implement a new vendor centric method of testing and validating products, platforms and services reducing overall testing durations and defects by over 75% and an estimated yearly savings of $4.4M.
◽️	All previous attempts had been unsuccessful due to system, reporting and organizational complexities.

◾️	DEVELOPED LEADERS: Coached 3 Green Belts on LSS methodology, tools and project management practices to successfully complete DMAIC and DMADV (Design) projects, leading to two of these green belts becoming fully certified and promoted to full-time black belt roles.

◾️	OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE: Designed and led a prepaid chat project to utilize specialized sales chat reps on prepaid pages resulting in a 27% gross add lift and improved customer satisfaction ratings. 

◾️	VENDOR & PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT: Led vendor management, project design, compensation model, training, implementation strategy and execution for the Verizon Wireless Sales Chat Program 

◾️	BIG DATA: Led BlueKai and Big Data adoption at VZW and developed strategic A/B testing for personalization and landing page optimization utilizing MECLABS, resulting in 20% lift in high-value customer segments.

SCOPE: Led cell site planning & capacity for over 1200 sites, $400M in assets and $50M in mass calling event initiatives

◾️	BUDGET & FORECASTING: Led mass calling events planning for all of Houston-Gulf Coast region including network capacity planning, budgeting and equipment dimensioning of 85 events / event areas and over $50M in resources and assets.

◾️	CREATIVE INNOVATION: Saved over $9M by leveraging current assets in the maintenance of ALL HGC cell site’s CE, 1X, EvDO and backhaul capacity.
◽️	Co-led 2012-2015 LTE Interface capacity planning of over 1200 NB sites, sector-splits, and small cells.

1st Rotation - Verizon Development Program

◾️	ROLE 1 - Led new features, products, quality, reliability and customer experience of the FiOS product
◾️	ROLE 2 - Led the launch, operations, expansion, automation and performance of FiOS Self Install initiative

◾️	OPERATIONS LEAD: Created and led operational activities for the FiOS self-install project which directly led to reaching stretch goals of 11,000 self-installs acceptances by EOY 2011 and an expense savings of over $1.6M. 
◽️	Developed processes, call scripts, M&P’s, trained & led two out-bound call centers for self-install options
◽️	Led transitional & automation efforts of the self-install initiative to improve and scale this project nationally to a projected 70,000 self-installs by EOY 2012 and yearly savings of over $25M.

•	OPERATIONS EXCELLENCE: Increased speed and accuracy of all new jobs and bid requests by 40% by standardizing the work flow process & increased productivity by implementing a Microsoft Access Database

•	MARKETING INNOVATION: Created a new value added marketing plan & bid presentation pamphlet resulting in 35% lift on accepted jobs.

◾️	BUSINESS PROPOSALS: Managed engineering technical proposals for new and existing markets including the Freightliner Guinea ES44ACi Locomotive worth over $40M; Co-managed all Superskids for ASIA & Russia

◾️	VENDOR & SUPPLIER OPTIMIZATION: Led a cost-benefit proposal to re-engineer GE equivalents to 14 Union Pacific cables, projected to reduce replacement cable costs and lost productivity time by 45%.

◾️	LEADERSHIP ROTATIONS: Completed 5 functional rotations in Material, Process, Lean, Quality and Engineering

◾️	PROCESS INNOVATION: Developed and successfully implemented a comprehensive material management and inventory tracking system utilizing Lean Kanban and JIT strategies to systematically automate inventory management resulting in a yearly savings of over $15M.

Three years, 60-hour weeks, and all I got was anxiety meds and a pizza party.

The hardest part of my career was admitting I needed help.
That night, surrounded by tissues and doubt,

I decided to ask for help. That changed everything.

I didn’t see it coming.

Years ago—after months of late nights and hitting impossible goals—I walked through my front door, hugged my wife, and cried.

Not a little.

The kind of crying where your whole body shakes.

I felt like I'd failed.

Despite pouring myself into every project, there was no promotion. No recognition. No “thank you.”

Instead:

➝ I was told I wasn’t ready.

3 years stuck. 12 rejections. Zack kept asking, what am I doing wrong?

•	Implemented Mastery’s new 3.0 curriculum across K-2 which included reading workshop, writing workshop, Envision math and number stories.
•	Created small group learning, test prep and jolly phonics & words their way to improve proficiency in math and reading.
>	Math proficiency in grades K-2 is 80% with Kindergarten scoring 3rd in our network, First grade scoring 1st in our network, and Second grade scoring 2nd in our network.
•	Managed and coached two assistant principals of instruction which included weekly one-on-one check ins, observations and real time feedback, and evaluation of written work such as teacher observation feedback, agendas and professional development sessions.
•	Planned and executed regular professional development including weekly planning meetings.  Professional development included training with current staff as well as various campuses and teachers across our network.
•	Completed leadership training at the Relay National Principals Academy Fellowship which included training on management, school culture and professional development.

Assistant Principal of Instruction

Uncommon Schools

•	Founding staff of a new grade level at an Uncommon charter school in Newark, NJ.
>	Developed and conducted math intervention which led to an overall class mastery increase of 10% with individual student results increasing 15 – 20%.
>	Led grade level meetings regarding the implementation of curriculum programs.
>	Proposed and developed sequence of objectives and lessons for character education instruction in order to improve overall school culture and student behavior.  Character education instruction resulted in more time on task and a 10% decrease in discipline referrals.
•	Mentored new co-teacher during the 2013-2014 school year to improve instruction and lesson execution. Responsible for observing teacher and providing actionable feedback.  Teacher mastered school required instructional techniques based on Teach Like a Champion. Teacher scored proficient on school evaluation rubric and obtained teacher certification.
•	Developed guided reading lesson plans aligned to Common Core Standards and the STEP Assessment which became part of the school’s ongoing curriculum.  Directly led to 70% of students reaching end of year reading goal by March.
•	Responsible for executing strategic uniform lesson plans for reading, writing, and math for a class of 30 students.

Founding Second Grade Teacher

Small Steps Nurturing Center

•	Developed and executed long term pacing guide for 2012-2013 school year which was implemented in PK/K resulting in 99% of students exceeding literacy, phonics and phonemic awareness goals by January 2013.
•	Created School Improvement Plan for 2013-2014 school year and coordinated aspects of implementation.
•	Mentored new lead teacher during the 2012-2013 school year to improve instruction and lesson planning.  Student engagement improved and students mastered skills from the High Scope Assessment.
•	Completed the Rice University School Literacy and Culture Program and implemented research based practices which led to improved speech development for 2 and 3 year old students.
•	Conducted class storytelling project for the 2011-2012 school year with the assistance of Rice University. This project included daily story dictation from students with a focus on improved literacy instruction. Students mastered concepts of print; vocabulary grew from one word sentences to sentences with two or three thoughts.

Lead Teacher

KIPP Houston

•	Founding staff of a new KIPP charter school in Houston, TX .
>	Led and collaborated in school-wide decisions including implementation of curriculum programs, purchasing of resources, and teacher selection.
>	Developed school curriculum and long term pacing guides for 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 school years which were implemented in all kindergarten and first grade classrooms.  This led to a 95% phonics mastery rate and 88% of students surpassing their reading level goal.
>	Designed report card and assessment tracking system in order for staff to analyze and use data to improve instruction. Created the first grade common assessments and assessment cycles which assured reliability and validity while testing.
•	Served as Grade Level Chair for First Grade and conducted professional development sessions for grade level team.  Sessions focused on best teaching practices, curriculum programs, assessments and data analysis.
•	Worked as Testing Coordinator for 2010-2011 school year and oversaw the implementation of the MAP computer testing program.
•	Mentored and supervised Teaching Fellow who co-taught in classroom and was seeking teaching certification for 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 school years.  Taught mentees lesson planning practices, instructional techniques, and conducted weekly meetings to discuss progress.  Both Teaching Fellows became fully certified the following year.
•	Completed leadership training with the Emerging Leaders Co-hort for the 2010-2011 school year. Implemented leadership practices such as classroom observations, one on one conversations and lesson feedback.
•	Created Smartboard files for grade level lessons and workstations.  Files were utilized by grade level teams to improve instruction and implement the technology effectively.

Founding Lead Teacher

Houston ISD

•	Served as Kindergarten Grade Level Chair (Lead Teacher) for the 2006-2007 and 2008-2009 school years.
>	Developed grade level pacing guide and common assessments with grade level tracking system for student growth to allow my team to effectively use data. 
>	Planned and executed tutorials for the grade level based on data and student needs.
>	Students scored an average of one year above grade level on the Stanford Assessment.
•	Led Professional Learning Community during the 2008-2009 school year and conducted professional development trainings for the staff on topics such as workstation implementation, classroom management, and literacy instruction.
•	Led implementation of Jolly Phonics Program in grades K-1 and tracked students’ progress in phonics which increased from 84% mastery to 97% mastery.
•	Mentored 6th grade teacher from Project Chrysalis during the 2008-2009 school year in order to provide instructional support.  Conducted observations, sample teaching lessons, and professional development meetings for mentee.  Mentee became fully certified and won the State of Texas Middle School Teacher of the Year.

Teach For America

•	Designed and executed professional development seminars for 1st and 2nd year TFA corps members teaching kindergarten to improve classroom management, diagnostic testing and instructional practices.
•	Conducted one-on-one meetings and working groups for corps members needing additional support. Corps members were able to achieve grade level goals with their students.
•	Created and complied resources to assist 1st and 2nd year TFA corps members. Edited diagnostic assessments and long-range plans used by the 100+ TFA corps members being trained at the Houston Summer Institute.
