I’ve been managing 3 teams in the core product offering domain, building out 2 of them. My teams have been working on enhancing our time tracking and attendance management features, and supporting the rollout of a mission-critical program across the organization.
I’ve hired +11 engineers in the first 10 months, forming two teams, setting up onboarding, team structure, processes, and ways of working.

While I’ve learned a lot both about hard engineering skills and engineering culture plus quite a few new technologies, I was looking for what’s next in my career. Prezi just started to build out its engineering management layer, and I was one of the early joiners. I was lucky to have worked with a variety of teams in a variety of setups (1 team of 5 to 3 teams of 24 engineers, supporting full-stack, infrastructure and mobile engineers).
I’ve supported my engineers and teams through 1:1 career coaching, team coaching, hiring, performance evaluations, growing leaders, alignment with our business and communication.
I've planned, driven and executed multiple organizational level initiatives such as optimizing our hiring process, creating an internship program and forming a peer mentoring structure.

Over a course of 7 years, we scaled the business from serving 2 countries to serving 7, with around 40 million B2C users and 50,000 B2B customers.
Further scaling the company, my role shifted towards being the partner for our COO and CEO to make sure our business plans are supported by our engineering efforts. I coordinated frequently with other CTOs within our group of companies on our global strategy (Europe, Turkey, South Africa and Brazil). I trained two amazing managers who led the respective engineering teams (20 engineers in total) and in the end made myself unnecessary at the company – which I still consider as a great achievement :)
