I've been immersed in technology since the eighties, and that early fascination evolved into over 20 years of software engineering experience.

These days, I specialize in iOS development at Expedia Group, where I've contributed to major initiatives like the Expedia Design System and implemented features that directly impact user engagement and conversion rates.

Throughout my career, I've worked across various technologies - from C and JavaScript to Java and even Perl. This diverse background helps me approach mobile development with a broader perspective, understanding how iOS applications fit into the larger technical ecosystem.

Coming from a family of teachers, I naturally gravitate toward mentoring and knowledge sharing. You'll often find me conducting code reviews or helping bridge knowledge gaps between web and native development teams.

I believe software engineering is fundamentally about two values: 
- solving real user problems (regardless of the technology stack) and 
- writing maintainable code that communicates clearly to future developers. 

When I'm not coding, you might find me appreciating visual arts and architecture - perhaps that's why I've always been drawn to the visual aspects of software development.
And yes, I used to be a drummer in a band, though you won't catch me listening to music while coding - it's too captivating and pulls my focus completely into its rhythm and harmony.
