After five months of working with Batdorf & Bronson Coffee Roasters, I was promoted from a part-time position in the Production Department to a full-time position as one of the three Coffee Roasters for their roasting facility in the Southeast.

I maintained these responsibilities:

• Roast coffees in accordance with the company’s high standards, development profile and quality
parameters
• Assist in coordinating and prioritizing order of roasting to meet daily customer needs
• Taste and evaluate roasted coffees with roasting team to ensure quality and consistency
• Assist Roasting Supervisor with maintenance of roasting and related machinery (Probat G60)
• Assist with receiving green coffees and monitoring inventory via GP and Excel
• Organize and facilitate coffee educational opportunities, including tours, coffee cuppings, coffee tastings, and workshops for both staff and public

These guys were a great micro-finance organization that did work with hopeful entrepreneurs in Liberia. 

I developed and maintained the social media strategy in order to expand Trinity Effect's message into the rapidly growing micro-finance market, composed content for the website, blog, emails, and newsletters directed toward their target audience.

It was a fantastic opportunity to learn more about micro-finance and it enabled me to refine my ability to  hone my writing voice for a more professional non-profit market.
